    Excited

I am sitting here in disbelief. Weighed today and down 17.5 lbs in 3 weeks. I'm so excited I can screem. Felt so good I tried to get on my eliptacle when I got home for about 2 min. I better wait til the staples are removed before doing all of that. I never blogged before so I just wanted to say how good I felt getting on that scale and it only makes me want to do right the next 6 wks before my next nutritionalist visit praying for another 17+ to be gone. Anyway, keep lift me up and encouraging me on this road to success.

    Hernia Repair?

Yep me to. I was told about the hernia the Friday before surgery when I had an x-ray. The after surg the DR said he repaired it and explained it should help with the hearburn and all of that stuff. Works for me.

    Still waiting for a date...

I don't think so. Stay as youthful as you can as long as you can. I am 40 with a 6 year old so I'm trying to stay as young as I can. Waiting for a date. Heck I can't get rid of my ex-husband and now that I got banded he really don't want to let me go now. Calling e'ry chance he get (kinda cute though) I wish someone would ask me on a date I'm surely going to say absolutely.

  8. I was the same way about not telling anyone. I did tell my Mom because I knew I would need help with my 6 year old because I'm a state over w/no family around and I'm pretty tight when it comes to my child. Well I told her about a month prior but only told her laproscopic surgery and then she later asked what kind. So I just told her the truth. YEA I heard the lecture and how I was doing it on my own before & can do it again. But I just had to let her know that this is what I needed for me and that my mind was made up. Both of my parents are fit & it's hard to believe when you see both my sister and I that we are so over weight. Well bottom line is she left it alone and then she started to do the research for herself so she can help me along the way.

I was not going to tell my ex-husband simply because he loves me fat (I think so nobody else would sneak a peak;-) but he was nosy one day and say my approval letter so I told him to. So after he got over himself he came into agreement with me when he saw I was not changing my mind.

Tomorrow will be 1 full week after my surgery and I see my nutritionalist and can't wait to get on the scale. I'm getting around great e'rybody is different but my theory is go in swinging w/a positive attitude about e'rything. CALL THAT THING OUT with no if's or but's about it. Don't listen to other people's horror stories. So far I have experienced almost completely the opposite of what I have heard. I'm truly blessed and so are you.

So be patient do what you suppose to do and always remember who is in charge.

  9. thanks for the response - how did you add the scale or tracker

  10. I was wondering the same about consuming the liquids quickly. I had my surgery on Tues and I personally drink a lot of Water. Well atleast I'm trying to I'm now on my 3rd 16oz today. I brought a vanilla whey Protein after surgery which has 50g per serving because there was no way that I could get my 60g in a day on the EAS which only has 17g per serving. I mix that first thing in the morning with 8oz of skim milk which has another 8g of protein and it's so nasty it takes about 40 min to finish it. But I'm getting that protein in for the day. I have noticed that I'm able to drink my water or my soup, puddings or Gelatin so much easier now that I was questioning my band. But at the same time I know when I'm full and I stop. Surely eating a lot less than before the surgery. AND IT FEELS SO GOOD. But honestly today was the first time I actually felt a bit hungry so I just had a lil more soup. Now I am still gassy so who knows when that will go away. I'm concerned about BM's since Tuesday my surgery date I have only had BM on sat. That concerns me. I have not taken any thing for that because I can't stomach it and afraid of what the after effect may be. I see my dietician on Tues and my surgeon on Thurs so hopefully all these staples will be removed and I can be a bit more relaxed. Keep up your good work and keep posted your great results.
