Hello I just got the call today - I'm scheduled for March 23rd. OH! I cant believe it. I've waited nine long months and finally I got my surgery date. YAAAAAAH no more waiting! I'm so happy to be with the rest of you getting banded in March. Good Luck and Happy surgery day to everyone. -
Hi - I still don't have a date yet. Not sure what the hold up is. I did already get the approval from my insurance.
I'm so glad to talk to you. You have surgery tomorrow WOW! try to get a good nights sleep. what time are you schedule for? anyway have a very happy happy surgery day. let me know how you are doing just as soon as your up and about.

Hi - I did all my test on Tues. and found out that I have a Hiatal hernia that will need to be repaired during my lap band surgery.
I'm still waiting on a surgery date. No word yet!
How have you been doing on the liquid diet. I bet its really hard. Am I right?
I know you can do it! You have to shrink that liver before surgery.

Congrats on starting the journey. I started in July08 I'm getting close but still don't quite have a surgery date yet. I have Blue Cross of California however they are all a little different in what they require from you. You can see my dated list below of all the requirements my insurance needed from me. It is really really nice to have you at the same center and Dr's office as me. Yes I agree!! I will let you know what I hear. Myra said that my test wont happen for another two weeks or so. Its looking like maybe early April for me.

Hi Terry
My appointment went great with Dr. Kim. I'm just waiting for them to call me to go get my Upper GI and Ultrasound that's it. I'm just stuck waiting. Myra said they will call me in about two/three weeks! Its nice to know that after insurance approves it will only be about 24 hours to get that surgery date. It was so nice to see you at the dr's office the other day. take care and when I have questions I know I can ask you. thanks!

Hi, My Doc visit went very good. Dr Kim just wants me to do an Ultrasound and Upper GI. So I have to Wait (again) until the office calls me with the date of my tests. I have no Surgery date yet. wait/wait/wait uck!
I see you have a date March 3rd - congratulations and good job!!
bet you are so glad you don't have to wonder when your surgery date it anymore. -

Hello Teresa, That's great news on the RNY decision. So you see your doc on the 16th. I'm so excited for you!!
I'm doing very well. I have a date for my first Surgeon consultation on Jan 28th. Would love it if we were both having surgery at the same time. I love that its Jan and I'm just having that great feeling of a fresh new start for the new year with getting the weight loss procedure done.
Please let me know what happens with your doc appointment this Friday.

Howdy - My first thought is March/April?? I thought it would be more like one or two months after you sow your surgeon.
My second thought is RNY? that is a big difference from the LAP-BAND. I guess the doc knows best. I know the RNY people tend to lose the weight faster than the Lap Band people. Both procedures work great.
My Yoga teacher took the month of Dec off so I go back in Jan. We have class every Wed.
Yesterday I was approved by my insurance company so I will turn in all my paper work tomorrow to Helen and hope she gets back to me asap with a appointment to meet the Surgeon. I think I'm just a few weeks behind you in the process.

Hello Teresa - thanks for checking in on me! I'm doing great. this Monday I go in for my last 6month weigh-in with the nutritionist. FINALLY!! now I can move on to the next step. How are you doing and do you have a surgery date yet?
