  1. I need to get mine resized. I don't have a clue what ring size I'm down to. I just know, I'm scared my wedding ring will fall off, especially when my hands are cold. Just a thought, you could use the stones from your wedding ring to have a new ring made.

    May 2023 surgeries

Thank you! Loose skin is so different for everyone. For me, it's there, but manageable. If I were to elect for surgery, I'd do my arms and breasts. The boobs... Gone. Gone. Gone. But everywhere has been touched in some way with loose skin in various degrees. My husband has been so incredibly supportive and don't mind it .. or so he says. It easily hides under clothes and if I need a bit extra support, I wear a tummy control body suit. Here's a couple other pictures. I'm on the right in the light grey dress. The green tank top pictures are from January 1 and I've lost more since then. I hope this helps ease some anxieties concerning surgery. But keep in mind loose skin varies greatly between people. And the amount you loose varies greatly based on how closely you follow your program. Wishing you all the best!

    May 2023 surgeries

I have met and surpassed 2 goals (original goal 160, 2 goal was 150). I have 5 lbs to go to get to my current goal of 140. I have lost a total 117lbs from my heaviest and went from a US size 18 to a US size 4/6. It has been a crazy rollercoaster ride, but one I'd do again in a heartbeat. My life/health has changed so much.

    Pain after surgery?

Nicely done. I'm down 114lbs since April 17th... 99lbs since surgery on May 1, 2023. I have 8lbs to get to my goal of 140. It has been quite the journey.

    Ever changing bra size

Ladies, how'd you navigate the ever changing bra size? Just cheap bras until things normalize? Sports bras?
  7. I still have about 12 lbs to goal, but I'm pretty happy so far. 110lbs GONE! SW 262 size 18 CW 152 size 6 GW 140
  8. Is anyone willing to share before and after pictures before plastics. I'm worried about saggy skin and what I'm willing to live with. I know everyone is different and there are many factors at play. Thanks [emoji4]
  9. 😆 Good problems. I love taking something off the rack and it fir.

    Ever changing bra size

The upper top bit is awful. There is literally nothing there. I could probably fit my fist in there. I too wear full coverage. Everything else doesn't help. Still no regrets though.

    Roux Limb Syndrome

I'll call the surgeon's office after Christmas weekend to see if they can shed some light. My GI doctor is out as well. Yesterday was so bad and lasted way longer than it normally does.
  12. Has anyone had issues with Roux Limb Syndrome? I've been having awful cramping in my upper abdominal area (especially after eating certain foods). They've done CT, upper endoscopy, and ultrasound. They have found any causes of the pain. The GI doctor mentioned Roux Limb as a possibility. I can't find much that lays it out in simple terms. I don't believe this is dumping.

    Ever changing bra size

Ok ladies, I'm almost to goal. The boobs are sad and saggy. What recommendations, other than surgery, do you suggest. I've tried a few that are more sports bra like, but I don't like the band that comes around the upper abdominal area. It bunches and is uncomfortable. I need something that will lift and round them out. I went to Dillard's 3ish months ago, and they sized me at a 36DDD (US size), I was dumbfounded because all that's left is skin and glands (there is literally nothing left). The 36 band is too big now, and it's hard to find anything in a 34 DDD/DD that is comfortable or carried in store. I would love to eventually get my breast done, but until then, how can I make them look normal under clothes. My husband, bless him, is so supportive of my sad, saggy breasts. Thanks!

    Roux Limb Syndrome

It so awful. It feel like a charlie horse in my upper abdominal area.
  15. Bariatric surgery is a permanent change in your digestive system that requires following a specific diet plan that may interfere with operational deployment. Active duty service members who have bariatric surgery can't re-enlist. Service members who receive bariatric surgery while on active duty may be separated. I found this on the tricare website
  16. They separate the military member if they get surgery done. I think reversible procedures are OK.

    Do you bruise easily now?

I'm going to revive this. Bruising? What's the deal. I just had my 6th month check with labs November 1 and everything this really good. But I keep getting random bruising, especially on my legs, that are painful and I have no clue how it happened. Is this normal? I have a yearly check with my primary doctor in February and will bring it up then if it hasn't subsided. Thanks in advance for any insight.
  18. I have about 10 pounds to get to my goal of 150. I was curious about what maintenance looks like. I have an appointment in January to speak to my dietitian, but first-hand experience is always helpful, too. I'm worried about not being able to consume enough calories to maintain. I stopped counting and eating according to what my body is telling me (I'm losing an average of 10lbs a month.) I'm also concerned about reaching my goal weight and gaining a bit back (I've read that's a thing) Is it better to aim for under goal so if I gain it's back, it's where I want to be? Any any insight is much appreciated.
  19. I know restriction wears off, but man, wouldn't it be nice if it lasted forever. I've definitely changed eating habits, but there are days I want all the not so healthy stuff.
  20. I'm definitely giving myself grace. 150-155 is my range. And I all too well understand weight fluctuations... hello time of the month. I don't want to get complacent as time goes on. It's terrifying to think about gaining back the weight. For me, I'd get to a weight, get comfortable there, then gain more, get comfortable, etc. I do feel at some point I'll need to start counting again. It's just so annoying to me. I wish there was an easier way to track (I use baritastic).
  21. Buying clothes and shrinking out of them before I get to wear them. It's a bummer, but hey, it's a good problem.

  24. Has anyone noticed if Premier Portein is the cause of constipation? I'm not a breakfast eater, so I drink 1 each morning. This is my only protein supplement during the day. I'm trying to narrow down if this could be the root of my problem. Thanks! I'm 7 months post-op RNY

    HELP! TMI

I'm constipated. Like really bad. I've taken laxatives (miralax, Smooth Move tea, milk of magnesia and docalax) for the last 3 days. I take a probiotic, Prebiotic, and stool softener regularly. I'm very bloated, some pain, I feel full easily, and just all around yucky. I do have very tiny poops, like the size of a small grape, but thin, like a pencil. This makes me think the laxatives are working, but things can move. Im also very gassy. I'm worried about a partial bowl obstruction, but my symptoms don't all fit. I don't know what to do. I'm 7 months post-op.
