Hey lady, I work for the insurance carrier and Like you said each policy varies. You included what’s called an SBC you will need to request for the actual Contract or benefit booklet to get the details. You should also call the insurance company to ask the question and what are the requirements. Good luck 👍🏽 -
I am still in the pre op stage and if God willing I should have my surgery July 2023 with this dr. Did you have your WLS with this dr? How was your experience?

You go gurl you look good! People are very judge mental these days. I haven’t had the surgery still in pre op stage but I plan on telling NO ONE but GOD that I had the surgery!

I am just starting my WLS journey so I have no feedback but will follow this thread. I think I will stay off the scale for the first month after surgery or only get on at my follow up visits. I wish you the best of luck -

I’m in the beginning stage 😩😩 and just started the 6 month process in January so I’m praying that my surgery date will be in July -
I believe insurance companies have up to 30 days to approve or deny coverage. I would keep checking your member portal every few days. Or call customer service

Timeline thus far and journey to sleeve: - Provider seminar was on 1/27/23 - Consult with surgeon on 1/31/23 - Lab work completed on 2/1/23 - EKG completed on 2/1/23 - EGD scheduled for 4/12 - Prep Op Exam with PCP sched 3/12/23 - 1st nutrition class scheduled 3/14 - 2nd nutrition class scheduled 4/14 ** will schedule my psych exam after my 2nd nutrition class**

@cut.the.VS it sounds like we’re both on are way to success! My consultant ion went well! I got my labs, EKG and X-rays today. My nutrition classes start 3/14!
