Krogers0121,
It was just like getting a regular needle, the only thing is that this time its in your belly. They put the needle where your port is. that is how you get your ajustments (fills). It can take your Dr. a few times to get the right spot. Your first fill from what the Dr. was telling me can be difficult because when the band is placed it is empty so he/she cant check to see if fluid from the band can be extracted to make sure he is in the right spot. so they have to poke and push a little to find the middle of the port where the needle has to go... once the needle was in the port and he starts to fill you dont feel anything, he made me drink some water to see if i felt any restriction. i didnt but everyone is different. trust me when i tell you, the needle is scary looking because it's big but on the other hand its better than the bypass.

Is Rogers your last name, or your married name. My maiden name is Rogers and my Dads whole family is from upstate...kinda spread out now, but mainly around Perrysburg, Gowanda, Franklinville...some of the towns I remember. Wouldn't it be a small world if we turned out to be related? haha!!!
