  4. I had lap band surgery on 07-25-08 and have only lost 35lbs. 11 of those the first week. It seems nothing works unless the fill is so tight that I live on pureed foods only. I've become very depressed and even angry because I feel all is lost especially when I hear how others have lost so much weight. I really need some support and some guidance. Any suggestions?
  5. Don't be depressed. It will happen. I think I started out pretty slow at the beginning and then I really started losing. I had mine done in June of "06", by December I had lost around 45lbs. Total I have only lost 65lbs in two years but I don't drink water or exercise like I should. There a lot of people who have lost 100 or more pounds in less than a year. I could get depressed about that but I know I'm not doing all I can so I only have myself to blame. This might be a slow process but try thinking further down the road, where will you be two years from now? Even if two years down the road you've only lost half that you want to, where would you be if you had not got banded, probably even heavier. Try and keep your chin up, the best thing is to stay off the scales, thats what I did. You'll notice your clothes getting baggier and baggier, thats a much better feeling then getting on the scale because the scale is going to be depressing for a long time. Good luck and if you ever need to talk drop me a line.

  6. I had Lap Band Surgey on 07/25/08. I lost 11 lbs the first week and nothing since. I had one fill on 8/24/08 and don't go back until 9/24/08. I'm totally depressed. I knew this was going to be a slow process but not this slow. I eat around 1400 calories, drink my water, eat my protein and walke 30 minutes every day (about all I can do). Anyone else having this problem? How do you keep from being depressed?
