  1. Don't be depressed. It will happen. I think I started out pretty slow at the beginning and then I really started losing. I had mine done in June of "06", by December I had lost around 45lbs. Total I have only lost 65lbs in two years but I don't drink water or exercise like I should. There a lot of people who have lost 100 or more pounds in less than a year. I could get depressed about that but I know I'm not doing all I can so I only have myself to blame. This might be a slow process but try thinking further down the road, where will you be two years from now? Even if two years down the road you've only lost half that you want to, where would you be if you had not got banded, probably even heavier. Try and keep your chin up, the best thing is to stay off the scales, thats what I did. You'll notice your clothes getting baggier and baggier, thats a much better feeling then getting on the scale because the scale is going to be depressing for a long time.
