Queen, 19lbs pre-op= STARVATION for fear that my liver would be too fat. Someone should have told me years ago that it was only my liver that was fat:p . When do you go back for your fill?

Whimsicalclay, Remember that weight loss is hard when you have no fill, and as you advance your diet it may stop or slow. Good luck but don't get discouraged if the loss slows. There was recently a post telling us newbies that we need to heal the first 6 weeks. Walking helped the most with any gas pains I had, be prepared day 6 was my worst day for left shoulder pain. Sorry Trizzy she said no mushie stage..She said if you can drink it through a straw you can have it. Well refried Beans if enough sour cream is added and pureed would go through a straw...maybe a large bore straw but a straw. I was starving by 10 day mark, I ate pureed thinned Soups and felt much better. Good luck ( I still believe Dr Miranda is a bit sadistic:) )

Funnyduddies please don't leave your posts were so wonderful and supportive. From a lurker IMHO Lisa is like a cancer, invasive and destructive. It may sound dramatic to some but the fingers flying at us in posts and the nasty words and threats were absolutely horrible. For the record I do not know any of these people but I can honestly say the things that have been said about Pnut the past few days made me cringe. The fact that good standing members are leaving and banned people are coming back amazes me. Lisa or whomever you are today move on, leave LBT alone people need to heal. Why be involved in a support group when you offer no support. Funnyduddies again please reconsider.

I was also banded by Dr Ortiz and after surgery he told my husband I got the 3 for 1 surgery. He repaired a hiatel hernia and a diaphragmatic hernia. He asked my husband if I had any chest pain or shortness of breath because he said I had a "fistful of intestines" in my pleural cavity. For the record I attributed the shortness of breath to being fat. I received one injection for nausea post op and never had any other problems or pain. I did feel tightness at times but that was all.

Queen we couldn't start the party without you. I'm hoping for 10lbs by Oct 1st. I lost 19lbs before surgery and only 2lbs more since then. I have a post op visit scheduled for 9/15 and hopefully a fill the following week. I currently have absolutely no restriction.

What exactly does this mean because after following this drama (as mostly a lurker) what does getting banned mean. I now interpret it as you change screen names and continue just as before. I'm not saying Lisa should have been banned, but if you are banned why do they continue to allow you to post. Maybe if they stood behind their decisions of banning people by fully banning them some of this drama would stop for peoples fear of being banned. I know that this is a rant and rave section but personal attacks against marriage, alcohol or mental illness are absolutely disgusting. Does anyone get what I'm saying?

My perception (and I'm a lurker) is some people feel that if you are even in a thread that they are answering you are a stalker. Go figure...

Maybe on your signatures you can indicate what side you're taking to make it more fun for those of us watching this drama. Some people are very obvious but some posts are a little unclear where they're at. I know people say ignore the posts but truly I don't know anyone that doesn't glance at an accident. I would also like to request that Diva posts a daily summary of events since I LMAO at her posts (and that's a LOT of a**). Thanks for putting drama to read during the day...

I used my wonderful husband as my "go getter", yeah I milked it but hey he wanted to help. I also had him carry my bags etc. In all honesty I had my surgery on a Wed and by Mon I was at Dutch Wonderland with my daughter. Let your husband pamper you, you deserve it. PS I required lots of back and foot rubs to assist with recovering. Good luck!!

Trizzy, I also had my surgery by Dr Ortiz and Dr Miranda altered my post-op schedule to include tomato soup and smoothies on post-op day 4. That was the prescribed diet from day 4- day 21 when I can start solids. I told her up front that I would not be doing yogurt or protein shakes. If you find yourself having a hard time e-mail her she'll get back to you quickly. I agree about the Christmas wish. Good luck.
