    So this explains why I never heard of a size zero when I was 100 pounds in a size 3 in 1980! Now a Size Double Zero and Zero must be the old 3's and 5's?

  3. I most definately intake more fiber now then pre-banding. I am sure the fiber has a lot to do with the gas.
  4. 5 months banded and burping and farting is still a daily event for me! Water makes my burp,and food makes me fart. And if that is not bad enough... the farting and BMs are more like toxic waste! The smell is a killer!

    What is your goal weight based on?

    My Doc says for me 5'4" and age 45 my bmi to be in the proper range is 140 to 130. Personally I would be happy with just 150, but my PCP and Surgeon both said 140 to 130. So, I am going for 130.

    1000 min & 1200 max for me has worked very well to lose weight and feel good doing it.

    How do you take your meds

    I have a Allegra 60mg which I break in half and have no problem taken. It is a 4 hour medication that works great for me.

    At first I crushed everything...UGH! I have found now that if I drink Hot tea before and during taken my meds, I only have to split the large one's in half. I am taking huge flaxseed capsules with hot tea with no problems.

    The Million Dollar Question

    I was wondering why I keep feeling like I lost my best friend. I guess food was my best friend. I don't smoke or drink. I don't listen to music. I like watching TV but only at night. I will be glad when the reruns stop and my favorite shows will be back on. I don't like exercise, but I do enjoy swimming when weather permits. I have no idea what I will do when it gets too cold to swim. I also realized today that I haven't been shopping like I use to...because it was always revolved around meeting for lunch. I don't want to buy new clothes because I am still losing weight. The clothes in my closet now are what was too small for my youngest daughter. Not the proper style for a 45 year old woman (Daisy Duke Shorts), but I am wearing them to have something that is not falling off because it is too big and baggy. Therapy is sounding like a very good idea right now. Almost forgot...my cat dying didn't help either!
  12. No more one piece Tent Dress swimsuits for me! I first bought a two piece tankini with boy shorts. I now have two tankinis with teeny weenie bottoms. I love them! I don't even bother with the cover-up anymore!

    Hello!

    I have had very few problems since being banded. The problems I did have were from ignorance in the beginning. I tried to force liquids and eat applesauce after 4 days. I learned fast not to do that again.

    I Passed Out During My Fill

    I passed out one time. I had stuck a wooden Shish K Bob into my hand. I was standing while my sister-un-law was trying to dig it out with a needle. I said I feel sick I need to go to the bathroom. I got half way down the hall before hitting the ground. I didn't lose complete conscience, but couldn't keep myself from going down. It wasn't from the pain because I have beared far worse pain before, but I think it had to be because I was standing up so long.

    My husband sold his Navigator to my Dad this weekend. He still has not ordered his Z4! He is driving my Daughter's Corolla until he gets his new car. When? Who knows?

    Pre,Breakfast work out!

    Just this week I switched from swimming in the afternoon to swimming first thing in the morning when I get up. It is much cooler and it wakes me up!
  19. I think it is important to never ever forget where you came from... My ex-husband's favorite thing to call me was Fat Bitch. Yes, that is one of the many reasons he is my ex-husband. I was Vice President 2 years, then President 2 years of the Band Boosters where we lived before moving to The Woodlands. I found out after we moved that all the kids called me Ms. Huskey behind my back. I was very disappointed because I sacrificed myself for 4 years hauling band instruments, making sandwiches, working concessions, altering uniforms, and going to every game and concert to cheer them on.

    I can't get enough food in to meet my 1000 to 1200 calories per day goal without at least one snack (my yogurt) a day. I wasn't losing as well under 1000 calories....you have to feed your metabolism!

    Sample Menus

    I choose to restrict what I eat. My Best Friend Banded eats pizza, Pasta, Bread, Fried food, ice cream, tortilla chips, etc.. Basically what she liked prebanded, but in much smaller quantities. She has not had the consistent weight loss that I have, but she is still losing weight. She has also required more fills then I have. I have only had 2 and don't feel I will need anymore. You have to do what works for you! What will keep you satisfied and still lose weight is most important.
