Need Help with What to Wear!

HHHHHMMMMMMMM.... Lisa that sounds nice for the bedroom but not for the ballroom. Donna that sounds perfect for a tall girl...this gal is only 5'4"...no skirts. My legs are nicely tanned and my husband is a leg man, so something just above the knee perhaps. All black with or without clevage showing?
  3. I started with a 1/2 a band-aid per ring, and now I am up to a whole band-aid per ring.

    I don't know...that seems a bit formal! Maybe a short black dress?

The Hardest Thread of My Life

Lisa, I feel your pain. Still grieving my couch buddy "mouse"...not the same without him. I am glad you have other pets as do I. Life without pets is no life at all (in my oppinon).
  6. Of course it is good..and good for you...all that fiber. I eat oatmeal every morning.

Gone For Good Club- August 2006

1.5 pounds! You should be doing cartwheels.... remember 1 to 2 pounds a week is the healthy way to lose weight!
  8. I am waiting to reach goal and stabilize before I get mine resized. I can wear my semi-precious rings on my pointer now instead of my right ring finger. My wedding band and my "5 year service award" as DH calls it will need to be resized. They are wearing band-aids now. The wedding band I moved to my right ring finger because I am right handed and the diamonds are channel set so it would be very hard to knock them out. My "5 year service award" looks real good on my left ring finger and less likely to bang on something. DH doesn't care which one I wear it on. He rarely wears his rings because of safety issue at work.

    Gotta change my behavior...HELP!

A class would be better then a book. You need someone to show you how to hold the needles properly. A friend taught me how to knit. Ask your friends if they know anyone who could teach you. I taught my daughter and a couple of my friends after I learned.

Do you ever just get weary?

You know I wasn't always up and cheerie when I could eat anything and everything because my tummy usually hurt because I over-ate. Always in the past when I would be on a diet and get tired or bored, I would regain my weight plus a few pounds. At least now when I have those feelings, I can't resort to my old bad habits... and after a day or two I feel better.

    Gotta change my behavior...HELP!

It is almost impossible to eat and knit at the same time. You can do it watching TV! Good Luck!

    Would you have done this?

That is so wrong! Never, never, never do that to anyone! Wait for them to ask you, then you give them the card!

    Shame on Golden Corral.

You know I was never charged more then the all you can eat price when I ate so much that the price per pound was almost free...so why would I expect to pay less then the all I can eat price when all I can eat is a cup of something. Since banding, I have buffet all I could eat at a Brunch $12.95 and Chinese Lunch $5.95, but I drew the line at $30 Mother's Day Lunch buffet.

    What's *good* about being fat?

Something that happened at work when I was in my 20's. A very large lady asked me for change. I got out my change box, and she pulled out the biggest wallet I had ever seen before from her clevage. I then saw her put it back in. I swear you couldn't tell the difference when she had it in then when she had it out! Talk about a great place to keep your money safe! BOOB SAFE!

    Excess Skin

Chin up Carrie! Set yourself a reasonable goal to have PS. You are still losing weight, so you wouldn't be having it until you lose all you want. I have heard that it can take up to 2 years for your skin to shrink back on it's own. If you set your goal for 2 years after losing all your weight, you might not require as much PS. Less makes for faster recovery. I think a TT you need about 2 weeks to recover to go back to work. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Have you checked with your insurance to see if they will pay for PS?

    Just for fun - misconceptions?

I carry a pamplet with pictures of the Lapband showing how and where it is placed. I pull it out and show those who don't know or understand what it is, so there is no miss-understandings. Especially when my Best Friend who is banded tries to explain it to someone...she makes me confused and I know how it works.
