A disgruntled cook at the local bar and grill poisons your food. You suffer in agony for days until the poison eventually kills you. Mine is the same as Elisabethsew. I wonder if this means we will be dining together.

I got my second fill last Tuesday. Boy has my life changed! I feel very tight in the morning! I have that first bite syndrome. I have to take super small bites and chew the heck out of it. I am having a hard time getting my calories in because it takes a long time to eat a little bit of food. I can only eat a cup at most at a time. So this is what restriction feels like!!!!!!!!!!

if you have no insurance & not so good credit, how do you get set up on payment plans
maryb replied to dallasgal's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I can get you the capital one phone number if you are interested. I am sure they have Doctor's in the Dallas area that use this plan. Assuming you are in Dallas area. -

My daughter used Capital One Credit through the Doctors at the Surgicenter in Houston. You just call them and do a phone application. Two hours later you call them back and they will let you know if you are approved and what the payments will be. There are different interest rates depending on length of loan and credit standing. You can also get this loan in someone else's name. My daughter's friend applied in her Mom's name and was approved. The cost to go through Capital One for Dr. Collier and the Surgicenter is $16,000. -
Will she let you take her to a doctor for a complete physical? If she is doing drugs it should show up in the blood work.

Wednesday - Day after 2nd Fill Breakfast - Atkins Shake, Oatmeal thinned it down more Lunch - Started eating Tuna Fish at 2:00 pm was still eating on it at 5:10 pm when I needed to leave for a meeting. There was probably 1/4 cup left. Foolish me tried to down the rest. When I got to the car, I did another foolish thing I took a big gulp of water thinking the tuna would finish going down. WRONG! As my DH was driving, I had him pull over several times so I could PB the water and stuck tuna up. What a slimy mess! Dinner - TBD...I think I will try some soup.

Mine is a 9.75 I read it on my chart. When I get a fill they hand me my chart, so I pass the time by reading it.

Here they are! I hope you can tell the difference. My daughter says I have lost my butt. -
I sent her the website about a month ago. I will encourage her to start posting. I will tell her if she doesn't that I am going to post her pictures anyway! LOL

My daughter is doing great. I think being young makes a big difference in your recovery time. She and a friend are out running errands today. I sure couldn't have done that on my second day. I told her to take it easy and not push it.

I always use my Pampered Chef Chopper to chop up my left over chicken before attempting to eat it. Fresh cooked chicken I cut in very very small pieces on my plate, then eat one tiny bit and chew well before swallowing. Chicken salad goes down without any problems. I turned down the chicken on a tooth pick at the mall because I didn't have a way to cut it up before eating it. I think this is a good rule to stick too.

Sky Diving! Aren't you the thrill seeker! I wanted to do this when I was a teenager, but now I am way too chicken and I don't think my osteo-arthritis joints could take the jolt. But, Good Luck to you in your banding, weight loss, and leap of faith!

Congrats Ann! I live in The Woodlands also, but haven't made it to a meeting yet. I was banded March 14th at the SurgiCenter by Dr. Collier. My daughter got her band today. I have heard good things about Dr. Spivak so you should be in good hands.

Two fills and never felt the needle!

Seabands doesn't work for me. Dramimine, and those patches behind the ear dope me up and make me sleepy. Never heard of the Reliefband. Pfinagrin (spelling bad) works and so does Ginger Capsules for me without the side effects.

My port is just above my waist and about 3 inches from the center of my stomache. I did have one incident at about 4 weeks post op where I bent over to pick up my Tennis shoes and my port pinched the heck out of my tummy! I am more careful with my bending ever since that incident and have not had it happen again.

Dr. Collier, Dr. Wilkenfield, Dr. Spivak, and Dr St. Laurent all use the same SurgiCenter as Dr. Speigel...did you ask if any of them take UHC. Dr. Collier was my Doctor and I just love him to death!
