I have loose jiggly skin already! Tummy, arms, thighs, and boobs. I have already starting preparing DH for the PS bills next year.

How much did they fill you with? My first fill was 1.2cc. I was on liquids one day and mushies the next. I didn't feel restriction until one week after fill. by week 3 I had no restriction and only had .5cc left in my band. I am now properly restricted at 1cc.

I agree it sounds like you are over filled.

Hi Granlady, Welcome to LBT. You didn't give much detail. Do you mind sharing your starting weight, did you have a pre-op diet, what size band you have, what size were your fills, are you on a low carb high protein diet along with your band?

Angie Size "12" that is great! I have been wearing size 16 for a about 3 weeks... 2 pair capris, one pair of shorts, and one tight pair of jeans. Friday I noticed that only the jeans really fit me and the others I needed a belt with. Of course this revelation came to me while sitting on the toilet! So I pulled my jeans so I could read the tag. I am glad I was already on the toliet or I would have peed my pants when I realized they were a size 14! My Mom wears a size 14! If I lived closer I would go raid her closet!

I like the hard top convertibles and so does DH. He wants a new one and doesn't like the price tag on the hard top. I told him to start out with the soft top and in a couple of years if he still wants to drive a convertible consider the hard top. He is going from a Lincoln Navigator to a 2 seater convertible. A giant leap! He is use to being able haul stuff and pull a trailer. I won't let him haul anything in my Mini!

Tight in the am, loose in the pm, should I fill?
maryb replied to gadgetlady's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am tighter in the morning also. Someone suggested drinking hot tea before anything else in the morning. I tried this because I was PBing my morning meds back up. IT WORKS GREAT! I drink my tea, take my pills, then drink my shake, 30 minutes later I eat my oatmeal. Try this before you decide about your fill. -
Good Guess, but not an accountant. He is an over-anyalizing think something to death Engineer.

My surgery is scheduled 06/14/06!!! Many questions.
maryb replied to NowItsPlanB's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My daughter 22 went back to work the following Monday after having surgery on Tuesday. She did just fine. She is also healing a lot quicker then me. I myself was still whinning for at least two weeks. At four weeks I started feeling more like my old self again. -
I told very few people at first. I was afraid I would be harshly judged because I wasn't 100 pounds over-weight. My best friend and my daughter have told a lot of people I had it done. They both are banded now also. Now that I have lost enough weight that everyone notices, I don't mind quit so much sharing.

At WW when they say you have lost 10%, It is 10% of your starting weight. ex. 20 lbs for starting at 200 lbs weight. They say this is when other people start to notice the difference. I think most people on here use percentage of pounds they want to lose. So, 50% would be half way to goal.

For those of you who didn't tell ppl about your surgery....
maryb replied to Tropicana's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
People definately notice I have lost weight and all want ot know how. I just tell them what I eat and that is all. My daughter however tells everyone she knows that we both had lapband surgery. Those that know just tell me I look great and they can tell I have lost weight. I guess the biggest difference is I don't eat anything at parties I go to. I stay away from the food table and only drink water. People really notice that! I don't socialize with food at all now! If I am shopping or whatever, I wait until I get home to eat. It is just easier to eat at home then to try to find a place that has something I won't PB on. I haven't really noticed strangers treating me different. -
My first husband wanted me to stay barefoot and pregnant. When I was pregnant with my first child, he drove me crazy demanding I quit work and stay home. I was so sick the first Trimester that I gave in and quit my job. After my second child, I went back to work. He didn't mind me working then for some reason, but he wanted more children and I didn't. We divorced and I became a single parent supporting two children with no child support. I met my second husband at work... I had to because all I did was work and care for my girls. I was Computer Systems Coordinator for a large manufacturing facility. A 24 hr 7 day week job. My husband's job played out and we moved for his new job. I commuted for 6 long hard months. I then quit to have time to look for another job in our new town. I wanted to take off a couple of months before going back to work. Before the 2 months were up, My husband got a job back in his home town. He took the job and we moved again. Now this was a one flashing light town. I told my husband that I guess I was offically retired at age 35. I did have a small part time job for a little while we were renting a house. Those 1950 Kitchen appliances and 1970 shag carpets were making me crazy. When we finally found a house, I quit the part time job to make the house my home. I got involved in Community Service and was too busy to have a paying job. Four years later we moved again. We now live by a college. My husband asked me if I wanted to go back to school. I said "What for? I already have my dream job "Being a The Woodlands Housewife." You know manicures, pedicures, ladies lunches, housekeepers, bunco parties, and great shopping. I sometimes call them Stepford Wives. I am very active with church now. I have a personal ministry of helping ladies mostly elderly with accounting, computer problems, software installation, training, and upgrading. I enjoy using my "work skills" to help others for free. And I especially love the fact that my time is my own! I never schedule more then 2 "work" days a week. My husband likes having me home when he gets home at 3:30 pm, and that we can take schedule trips around only his schedule.

What kind of scale do you have? Is it accurate?
maryb replied to sleepyjean's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I bought my health-o-meter at Service Merchandise, at least 20 years ago. It worked great for a long time. I think moving 5 times in 3 years and the high humidity in South Texas was too much for it. -
I have not been able to eat much since flying to KY, so I will resume my daily intake after I get back home. I may have to get a partial unfill if this keeps up. I have to drink hot tea just to get my meds down and drink my shake. I appreciate ya'll for being faithful to this thread. I know this will help me with accountability when the going gets tuff. Thanks!!!!!!!!

Health-o-meter Maybe That wasn't the name of mine. I bought it a long time ago. Looked liked the old fashioned ones you use to see in the Dr office that you had to slide the one bar for 50 pound increments and the other bar for under 50 pound increments. You also had to set the zero, then you had the wobbly thing on the side you had to try to get half way between the opening. A real pain in the butt. I think the humidity in the bathroom made it crazy.
