MeThreeSixty, Baritastic, or other helpful apps
PsychoMantis replied to Kimpossible00's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Baritastic is pretty good, I used to like My Fitness Pal before they started to charge a subscription fee of $20 a month to scan food barcodes. I mean it’s still a good app, but not nearly as good. -
Meal preppers - looking for some advice/suggestions
PsychoMantis replied to Tufflaw's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will meal prep a couple of times a week. Sometimes I get sick of chicken and want steak. Usually I buy a bag of frozen chicken breast from Winco and cook all of it. Or some ground beef so I can make a hamburger patty with no bun, I usually add hot sauce on top, the Frank’s red hot sauce for some flavor or I’ll cook it with Tajin. I’ll have to work back up to those ingredients now that I’m 6 days out from post op. Just a note, Tajin makes almost everything taste better, especially vegetables. I hate most vegetables, but Tajin makes them more bareable. A lot of people have yogurt, I cannot stand yogurt unless it’s froyo. I love sour things, but the taste of yogurt is gross. Used to love Trix yogurt as a kid, but it had a lot of sugar to cover up the taste of basically sour milk. My doctor recommended for my liver shrinking diet a chicken crust pizza from the Real Good brand, which I’m not sure why they recommended it, it’s impossible to find. Since I’ll only be able to eat max a half a cup per meal when I get back to normalcy that will probably be a tiny chicken tenderloin and maybe 2 or 3 green beans lol. -
Here are pictures of the hives, they have started to spread to the incisions too.

Unfortunately Benadryl didn’t work, in fact the hives on my left side spread to my right side. I have a follow up today so I will see if I can get a cortisone shot or cream.

Yeah I tried to add hot sauce to my diet again, worst idea ever. -
Stalling 1.5 Weeks after getting sleeved
PsychoMantis replied to ReddWolfe's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was told not to weigh myself for either 7-10 days after surgery or a month, I’d have to check. One of them might have been from a video I watched. I haven’t weighed myself mostly because our scales are like insanely inaccurate. I have a new one coming tomorrow. -
Three weeks and still barely peeing
PsychoMantis replied to bwohlgemuth's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I’m struggling to get enough fluids honestly. I used to drink 64+ oz of water a day, barely getting 32 most days. It’s the small sips, I used to chug water. -
What to do when you don't want to eat?
PsychoMantis replied to qtdoll's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Honestly I’m on day 5 and I force myself to eat. Not hungry at all. -
Mine is flaking off in certain areas and on certain incisions and it’s day 5 now.

What you wished you would have packed for your hospital stay....
PsychoMantis replied to PNWgrandma's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Personally I packed way too much. I have ish I had brought less actually. I slept most of the time because the pain meds knocked me out. I did play a little Pokémon, but it was maybe for like 30-60 minutes total. I only stayed one night, but I brought a Switch, my iPad, my Quest 2, a quilt, and my Surface Pro 7. Really just bring like your phone or tablet along with clothes and toiletries and you’ll be fine. Chargers help too. -

You could try baby food. I was told it was an option and it’s a lot cheaper than buying a blender or a food processor that I’ll never use. That’s what I’m gonna do, plus I can use the glass jars for crafts after.
