I'm not saying it wasn't implemented anywhere...I'm saying it wasn't everywhere. I don't agree in young kids being taught. Where I sat in they did not teach techniques or positions...and in the school district where I was at a parent could sit in on any class at anytime! Would you rather they use an erect penis? or a fake erect penis instead of a banana? -

I think it is a good idea to teach teens how to use a condom...and a banana or even a cucumber seems like a better thing to show it on then an actual penis?! A lot of teens don't know how to properly put on a condom so they break or don't work right. How is that something they shouldn't teach? -

I think it is a waste of money to fund that kind of teaching! I was just saying that he may have been funding that kind of crap, but it wasn't in practice yet so it wasn't what was making the rates drop. -

They aren't showing those videos in classrooms. The majority of the videos they show in the classrooms are from the 90s! Those videos are for mature teens to watch...if a parent doesn't want their teens watching that then maybe they should put blocks on their computers and have rules for the computer for their teens. In all the sex ed/sociology for Living classrooms I have been in taught factual information and didn't treat sex as a joke...just because it's on the internet doesn;t mean that's what is being taught to teens in school!!! -

Maybe, but there wasn't abstinence only teachings during Bush's Reign...come on! So thanks to Bush there were less teen pregnancies and abortions? -

So what. They're making these informational videos "funny" so that teens will actually watch them! And it does state for mature teens and adults. They're giving information and scenarios inorder for teens to sit and watch them...they're just trying to have fun while watching these videos...I thought they were silly, but they did provide some info...I don't see it as out of line. -

I want to be a Sociology for Living Teacher someday and I think BJean is right. we need to teach those things she listed. When I was younger I was ahead of other girls (I started my period when I was 7). When I was younger my mom sat down with me and talked about sex with me. She told me that sex is a wonderful thing. That it feels good, but that it feels best with the right man. She told me that while she knows that many girls don't she would like it if I waited for the right man. That if I feel that I can't to come to her. She will be there for me to talk or to help me find protection. She always left her door open for me, she was always there for me...and I waited. I was always open with my mom. I called my mom after I had sex (by choice) for the first time. I used protection and I was almost 18 and had been with the guy for over a year. I waited a lot longer than other girls...and I am glad that I did. I was very lucky to have a mother that was so open with me and I plan to be that open with my kids. If I ever had a question about something I could always turn to my parents without the fear that I would be judged or yelled at. My parents raised me with that kind of open door policy and I have never drank, done drugs, or had sex with lots of men at a young age (I've only had 2 partners)... -

Yeah, but who says that all the things you hear and read in the tabloids is real? None of us have lived in their home. And Thank you BJean. I am very lucky to have the family that I have -

To me this sounds like you are saying that Miss Spears wasn't raised right and she's not concerned about the well being of her child because of the way she was raised. You talk about her like she is some trailer trash that doesn't have a brain...isn't in her right mind...She seems like a very loving mother to her little girl...We all make mistakes, but that doesn't mean those mistakes should define who we are... -

Let me just say while in those situations they may consider getting pregnant a mistake, but not their baby. Getting pregnant can be a mistake, but a child that is born is not...I don't think politer is a word...also it is the act of have sex that is the sin/mistake...not the child themself...the act that conceived them...maybe your wording just isn't saying it right or something...Also, to all those ladies out there that didn't abort...Happy Mother's day -

To me this is making it sound like she thinks the baby is a mistake/sin...That's what it sounds like to me anyways -

Having a baby is not a sin...if those kids felt their baby was such a mistake they wouldn't have brought them into this world...if you want to call one of your kids a mistake or a sin go for it, but you have no right to call someone elses child a mistake oh and by the way you did bash Miss Spears in an earlier post... -

Do you know that some pain isn't controlled by meds...sometimes the pain is so bad that the meds don't even take the edge off...so you would rather that a person be all doped up on pain meds and barely aware of what's around them then to have the dignity to die? That's pretty messed up... -

lol...It's people who don't know what pain some go through that think it is sad and wrong to let them have their life ended because they no longer wish to endure. Have you ever watched a loved one die of painful cancer...there was nothing to stop it and they were going to die, but because it is illegal to allow them to do so they must spend their last days...maybe even months in pain you couldn't even begin to stomach! It should be just like a DNR...what is a DNR if not a paper that says allow me to die with dignity.? -

In the case of Euthanasia it should be the choice of the individual or the power of attorney (mother, spouse, father, whoever)... -

Hell I think we should be able to euthanize people too...if they're quality of life is really bad...like if they have a terminal illness or are severly disabled... -

So what...she'll be a "teen"ager until she's 20! She was 17...she was just saying what she meant then and now she is saying what her mommy wants in order to still look good! -

That's right the fetus has NO choice in the matter. I think she needs to be a woman and admit that she thought about abortion...that it crossed her mind. You cannot say never in that situation, especially when it crossed her mind at least once!! -

Yeah, our first impulse MAY not be the right one, but on the other hand it may be the right one...whether it is the right one according to someone else...it my be the right one for the individual...If a woman wants to abort her fetus because she finds out it will be born with Downs or Spina Bifida...then that should be her choice and her choice alone -

So far I am only 4 weeks...lol. I haven't told any of my friends or family...well my husband. We are very worried that something is going to go wrong. I do have a lot of medical concerns. I go for my first appointment on the 15th and I will be discussing them there. Hopefully this bun will bake the whole 9 months lol. My husband and I had gotten the go ahead the beginning of April to start trying again and off the BC and here we are...it happened a lot fast than we expected especially since a lot of the doctors said I wouldn't be able to get pregnant again...well....6 home tests later lmao...I am so excited, but also so so scared Thank you for the good wishes
