Nutrition question, banded 3 days ago.
rodriguezequal replied to MissMe27's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was told to take only 1 flinstone (I'm not sure if it matters lol) and right now you are not concentrating on losing weight or counting cals. Right now you are only working on healing from your surgery. take in only what you can and don't push yourself. Your body needs time to heal and adjust to the band  -
I didn't care too much for the EAS either, but it is what my surgeon wanted me on so I got these sugar and caffeine free coffee powders (chia, mocha, white chocolate) and I put in a spoonful or so and added a handful of ice cubes and blended it...it made it better for me, but I also added a little milk  For me the EAS was one of the better tasting drinks....good luck

It could be gas...have you tried taking gas x strips?

Liquid Vitamins
rodriguezequal replied to healthy-me-in-Az's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I cannot stand liquid vitamins. My surgeon told me to just have one flinstone chewable every night  -
 I found that when I got the band my cravings changed...well they started to. I started wanting fish and chicken...fast food started tasting like...well junk lol. I was a binge eater. I always told my mom "I think I'm a confused bulimic girl" I would binge and binge, but never purge! I'm almost 23 and I'm 5'3''. I weighed close to 300 at my highest and before my surgery I had gotten down to 253.6. I made it down to 192, but then had some stress and what not so I gained some. I need to get a fill, but I need to wait until things calm down in my life for a while. The cravings didn't go away completely, but they changed and the ones that didn't changed were less frequent! Good luck and I hope that something I said will help lol

I DID NOT say that he was my "BFF" I simply said that he had an impact on my life. He was never convicted of child molestation and in the country we live in it is innocent until proven guilty. You cannot condemn someone for accusations...if you could a lot of innocent people would be jailed for no reason other than word of mouth! BTW I also never said I worshiped him so please do not put words in my mouth

I would love to win. My husband is in the Army so we drive A LOT and they're long drives. I had one of the Classic iPod Minis and it broke on our last trip (( Good luck to everyone

Hello From WA State

YAY!!! I am so excited of you! And proud of you for taking this step  Congrats and good luck  -
he was troubled, but he was still someone who made an impact on others lives...you are entitled to your opinion. He wasn't just popular 20 years ago! Wait until his funeral it will be huge! Elvis danced sexually (for back then) and people still loved him! Michael is no different. They may not have fallen in love with him or even liked him as a person, but they loved his music and his performances and even his videos! This is a sad day for me, but not for you and that's fine...just like when my father dies you wont care, but it will impact me.

I have to say that I was so scared about getting the badn, but it has been worth it! I have been having a lot of personal stress and problems lately so I have stopped losing and have gained a little, but at no fault of the band! It is so worth it. I paid out of pocket for mine -

Misscaraige with Lap Band
rodriguezequal replied to rodriguezequal's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Thank you so much...it does suck, so bad. I still think about our baby...what if it was the girl we always wanted or another handsome boy that would have looked just like my husband...so many questions...Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. I think we may try some of those things. :tongue_smilie: -
Hello. On May 6th I found out that I was pregnant. (We had been trying). May 13th I lost the baby. I know that it's not the fault of the band...I have been having trouble not turning to food in this time of Grief. That would have been what I would have done without the band. All I want to do is eat...eat and eat and eat until it doesn't hurt anymore, but I know I can't. Has anyone else misscarried after having the lap band? How did you cope? What helped you. By the way I am 22 and they told me after I had my son that I may not be able to get pregnant again and that if I did I would most likely misscarry or be high risk. My heart is broken...I am tired of hearing; you're young, you can try again...I don't want to try again...I want my baby...this baby! Anyways, Thank you for reading...

Yeah I think my "healthy" weight is supposed to be 130-120, but I have curves and big boobs and a large butt so I would look weird at 130-120 lol -

She already came back once so...who knows. I just think it wouldn't have gotten this out of hand if the religious speeches would have stopped or at least slowed down!!! PS way to go on getting into onederland  -

She definately hinted that it was her thought that is was a curse from god. It's people with that kind of mentality that protest at soldiers funerals with signs that say "Thank God for dead soldiers" and God hates fags" it's sad, but there are so many like that out there! -

Well said as always BJean. I agree with you, she does highjack this thread and I for one am getting tired of it. If I wanted to her that kind of nonsense I would go to church and be born "again" *rolls eyes* -
