She was refering to me in those posts...not you. I'm pretty sure you weren't complimenting her age when you said oh and by the way your the age of my mom. She was just pointing out that at the time the things with MJ were going on (in the 90s) you and I were still young and innocent...I don't think she was attacking you for your age, but you were clearly taking a shot at hers!
-
Also I'm pretty sure it was Chantel that took a stab at the age of someone...Can't we just keep this discussion civil lol!!! :tongue2:

The anesthsia stays with ya for a little while. I woke up fine from it, but was tired for the first couple of days, but I bounced back as it got all the way out of my system. I have had a few surgeries so I knew what to expect. It's not bad!

I haven't had any complications with the band. I have gained some weight back lately, but it was due to my own problems and had nothing to do with the band. I had gotten down to 192.4 and now I am back up to 207 :rolleyes2: it wasn't the fault of the band...it was just me. The only "problem" I had was when I went in for my first fill they had some trouble finding it and had to wiggle the needle around a little bit (doesn't really hurt, just felt weird) other than that things have been great!!!

She wasn't saying she knows more because of her age. She is saying that at the time that those things were in the news you were too young to understand/read them. The balcony incident wasn't during your "goo goo gah gah" days either. She didn't say you were a child now...she was refering to your age at the time...also I don't think we need to take shots at others age. My parents are in their fiftys and they do know more than me in some things...and some things (like computer stuff) I know more. Age has nothing to do with this argument (unless discussing that you weren't old enough at the time he was turning to "Wacko Jacko"). Let's not take stabs at peoples age...I mean come on..someday you're going to be old too :rolleyes2:

Hahaha...lol...I sure don't

I just had a quick question...Why is it okay for a rap star to grab his junk and tell people to suck it and whatnot, but Michael dances with his hand NEAR his crotch and people flip out?
-
WAY TO GO!!! I am so excited for you. Congrats for going to get the fill and seeing results! Keep it up!!!! Wooohooooo!!! lol
-
Band slipage and pouch stretching. If you over eat or have to vomit a lot from over filling your pounch you can stretch it and possibly cause a band slippage, which would cause reopperation! I hope that you are able to jump back in to the swing of things and get back on track! You can do it!!!!! lol In the beginning your not so much trying to lose weight as you are just trying to heal! Make sure you follow your post op diet as much as possible to avoid damage to the band and/or your pouch! Good luck
-
It's definately not for everyone...it wasn't for me either lol.

Way to go!!! Be proud for taking these steps! They're bigs ones . I am so excited for you and I hope that your journey to getting the band goes well! If you have any questions I'm always around Good luck and congrats again on taking the steps! I am close to your weight and what not. I was close to 300 (I'm 5'3'') right before my surgery I was at 253.6! It's worth it!

I had thought about it, but I didn't like the sounds of some of the side effects...anal leakage...no thank you! lol. I have heard great things about it from people though too...I just don't want the side effects
-
I always carry the single serving packets of s.f kool aid and cystal light or packets of true lemon/lime/orange and order water...then I can mix my own drink  Like I said before though I have no straw restriction...everything I drink is through a straw lol
-
It seemed to me like he had body dismorphic disorder...he was a handsome man
-
I can see how it upsets some of his fans, but I'm pretty sure his children aren't reading this...lol.
-
I guess now you can add Billy Mays, age 50 to the list of people that have died this week! Damn
-
Yeah the ones in the Avon catalogue are the same...infact I think they came out before the Sketchers Brand did...I think I may order me some lol

Way to go...big high 5 your way . We all forget to eat slowly and chew every once in a while. I think you made the right choice with the pork chop instead of the salad though. Keep up the good work!!!

Port pain and swelling
rodriguezequal replied to cj74's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It sounds like you just strained it. The port is attached to the muscles so anytime you use them you may get sore, especially right out of surgery. As long as there isn't pus or a fever; infection isn't too likely, but if you continue to have problems don't hesitate to call your surgeon...after all that's why they get paid the big bucks  lol -
Sounds more like with all the coughing and swelling that goes on you probably had swelling by your band causing it to feel tighter. I have asthma and sometimes after an attack I feel tighter...sometimes I'm just sore and my port hurts. Ask your surgeon to be sure, but it just sounds like swelling from the attack to me. Good luck!

Way to go and congrats! This was a big step, but it is so so worth it! Be proud for taking this step . I hope things go well for you!!! Good luck again

Banded 10th June, need food tips!
rodriguezequal replied to AdaZ's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
At this point after surgery you really just want your body to heal so don't be too quick to move on to mushies or solids...You can do damage to the band if you move to fast. Also, Eat slow and chew chew chew! If you're eating with a fork or spoon put it down after each bite. It feels like being full without the band, but it happens quicker and if you take one more bite it could start hurting and you'll feel a lot of pressure. Try to follow your post op diet as best you can until instructed to move on. Congrats on the band and good luck!!!
