I was born and raised in Indiana, and in 2018, I was in a car accident. Two cars in front of me stopped and I stopped and the person behind me decided not to stop and drive through me at 70 mph. I sustained a spinal cord injury at my T7 and T a vertebrae in complete, which left me as a paraplegic. I am paralyzed from the chest down. I am very independent and refused to quit or stop. When I had my accident I weighed 415 pounds. Before my bariatric surgery I had lost 115 pounds and I weigh 300 pounds   I had my bariatric surgery on July 13, 2022. Current day I weigh 205 pounds and lost 95 pounds since my bariatric surgery in 15 months (wrote this on October 6, 2023). Since my accident in June 2018, I have lost 210 pounds.
