I took two weeks off and it was needed. I too work from home, but the weakness and fatigue those first 2 weeks along with the brain fog, no way I would have been able to focus.

I wasn’t expecting it to keep me from over eating as in, I could eat whatever and still lose the weight. I feel my restriction when I eat a little more, no restriction prior to. My directives were very vague, the sheet I was given reads “You should be able to tolerate a fourth, to a half of an egg.” So When I was able to eat a whole egg, I was just a bit worried that it wasn’t normal. But thank you for your feedback.

Yeah, I’m less concerned with the soups and more concerned about the soft foods and solids.

I am able to eat a bit more than recommended and I’m worried about it. I’m week 3-4 post op and can currently have eggs, toast, tuna etc. a stage let purée. I can eat about a cup and a half of strained soup in a sitting. I can eat a whole egg and a half a piece of toast in a sitting as well. Is this abnormal? Should I be concerned?

What has your experience been with dumping syndrome? What we’re your triggers? Was it all vomit or was it diarrhea also? How soon after eating something has it occurred?

I had surgery 12/29/22 and I started at 260lbs. I’m now down to 236. I know it’s early on, just praying the struggle doesn’t last months and months. I do have a therapist, I meet with her weekly.

I straight up regret having surgery. I was a low BMI candidate with a bunch of other health factors that got me approved for the procedure. I am weak beyond measure and dizzy everyday. Can barely handle self care without issue. I had post-op rectal bleeding, went back to the hospital for IV hydration, everything is just difficult. I can’t help but feel like I wish I would have just lost the weight on my own. I did WW, keto, boot camp training sessions, you name it and never had long term success. I know people say it gets better with time but when?! I’m a mom of twins, laying around all day just isn’t my style. I wish I never did this :(

Thanks for sharing. It is very dark and smells bad. I was told to keep an eye on my blood pressure and hydrate as much as possible and stop the blood thinners.

Hello. I am one day post op and I am experiencing recital bleeding. Has this happened to anyone? I’ve been in contact with my doctor and am following his orders. Just curious to hear someone else’s experience.
