ok I will try one more time - go to www.childsup.ca.gov for information Nicole.

what the heck - the website is Custodial Party for you Nicole
-
Nicole - if you get a chance go to Custodial Party - it has all the information you need as the custodial parent to get services through the county. Their is a resources tab at the top too that will be helpful. You will need to have a court order to be able to get child support. Check out the booklet and then if you have questions, call the county you live in or go into their office and see them. Apparently my son didn't read the booklet either as he didn't take a calculator with him either - but he said they provided them with calculators. I had lunch with my teacher friend on Friday and had an interesting chat about married/separated people being off limits for dating. I called him Sat night after we got home from Fright Night and left him a message that I wanted to talk to him if he went to the school yesterday because something is bothering me. He called me back yesterday and said he didn't end up going to the school, but that we could talk today after school. Now if I could only figure out what I am going to say. I am tired of this wishwashy stuff - of course I will probably chicken out. Gosh I wish I could act like a grown up sometimes. Better get to work.
-
Woo hoo - you go Riley. I'm about ready to give up in that department. Fright Fest was fun for my boys, scary for my daughter. The boys went into the haunted houses and watched the funeral procession. I kept Taran as far away from it as I could. We got there around 2:30 and left at 7:30- it was really crowded. I at the cheese and sauce off of two pieces of pizza for dinner and had one bite of crust. My son thinks he did okay on the PSAT - we will see when the results come in. I met with four ladies I used to work with for lunch last Thursday and we had a waitress take a pic of us - egads I still look fat. I was standing next to my friend who had bypass and lost 170 lbs since Mar 08. Guess I should have stood on the other end of the group. I need to get Spanx or something to hold this jiggle tummy in after seeing that picture. :{
-
My son is almost done with his PSAT test - he had poptarts for breakfast. My 15 yr old son has decided he doesn't eat meat now - no meat, no fish, but will eat dairy products and eggs. I had cheezits for breakfast, then went to Curves and had peanut butter and crackers and cheetos for lunch - apparently I am on a carb feast. We are heading out to Discovery Kingdom after we pick Taylor up at 12:30 - made sandwiches for the kids to eat on the way. I am taking my book to read while waiting - Taran now says she is too scared to go to Fright Fest - I assured her I will take her away from the scary part of the park. I'll be back on tomorrow.

once you have some restriction you will get the warning signs. For now you might try just eating your allowed quantity of food and waiting a while for you brain to notice if you are full. Or maybe it was just the broccoli that didn't agree with your band. I don't eat broccoli at all.
-
Candra - yes that is a PB - what there isn't room for reguritates back up. The hiccup part tells me I am full, but if it keeps on along with the gurgles I know it is coming back up eventually. We will probably eat lunch on the way as his test won't be over until noon. I'll give you a call during the day while I am there sitting around and we can at least chat. I am meeting some old friends I used to work with for lunch at 1:30 - too freaking late for lunch for me - I just drank a protein drink. I will have soup or something tiny - I have to leave at 2:45 to pick up my daughter anyway. One of the ladies I am meeting had bypass surgery in SSF 18 mths ago - she has lost about 140 lbs. I have never seen her in pants and I have known her 18 years - she said she is wearing pants today. I feel like taking my kids out to eat for my son's birthday - you only become a teenager once in your life - maybe I will see if my teacher friend wants to join us.
-
Pat - my son is in 8th grade - he turns 13 today, but yes he is smart - thanks. My 10th grader took the PSAT yesterday at school and said it was long, but not hard. He can take the Exit Exam this year and then if he passes it he doesn't have to worry about it. Today is my Friday - I woke up at 4:23 am today when the smoke alarm in my daughter's room decided it needed a battery change - darn beeping - scared my dog and I couldn't get the battery thing opened so I just took my shower and was ready to go at 5 am. I will feel it this afternoon. I had marble jack cheese and saltine crackers for breakfast - need to get my act together and plan better.
-
Congrats - you are on your way. The Vacaville Kaiser is really nice - and easy to get to. I had 3 little meatballs for Breakfast and 2 garlic triscuits - I should have stopped at the meatballs as the triscuits came back up. I just ate 2 little meatballs for lunch and I am full full - my band is doing its' job today.
-
Riley - that last pannus story cracked me up. I had the bumps under my scars too, but I pushed on them and heard a pop and they were gone - except for the one right in the middle of my stomach. I think it was air in there. I can't stand this weather - rain I can live with, but the wind is so destructive. I woke up at 2:30 am and got up at 3 am and went out back - the ping pong table that I had folded up so it wouldn't get wet had fallen over and was out in the rain. I couldn't get it up so I just went back to bed. I was still awake at 4 am thinking and worrying about this and that. Sure didn't want to get up when the alarm went off at 5:30. My son in 10th grade is taking the PSAT at school tomorrow and my 7th grade son wanted to take it so I had to pay for him and he is taking it Saturday. As long as it isn't raining we'll be going to Six Flags afterwards. I have half a hamburger patty for breakfast and a lean cuisine 190 cal for lunch. I am waiting awhile before trying the hamburger as I am pretty tight in the a.m.

My son is taking the PSAT Saturday morning and I promised the kids I would take them to Six Flags for Fright Fest after he gets done at 12:30 so I can't make it.

The next meeting in Sacramento is Saturday Oct 24 from 11-1 at the Point West Kaiser across from Cal Expo. We go out for lunch at Mimi's afterward. I did really well today with food - had 1/2 a grilled hamburger patty for dinner. I did have 2 oreo cookies today, but I'm okay with that. I still need to get another bottle of water down, but I have time. Your dinner sounds yummy Heather. I made country pork ribs in the crockpot last night for dinner, but the pork didn't go down well. I'll try again tomorrow night with leftovers.

Is everyone off except me today? I am having tuna with lite mayo for lunch right now, had a packet of oatmeal for breakfast at 7 am and a cheese stick in between. Not sure if I will be able to get all the tuna down, but I will try so I am not hungry until dinner time at 6. Is it raining in the Bay area?

Candra - the book is called "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" by Dr. Laura. I am happy to announce my band is still there - I thought it had disappeared. My food this weekend - yesterday - still on softs B 1 packet instant oatmeal L 1 cup ice cream D Smart One turkey and mashed potatoes and small piece of birthday cake (at 8 pm after my son's birthday party at Sky High) I didn't feel any restriction even with the cake which scared me since I just got the fill on Friday Today - B - 1/2 c mixture of zuchinni and mushrooms - ended up pbing part of it back up L - 1/2 chicken/apple sausage - ended pbing part of it up and then ate one of the little bags of Fritos (was at a birthday party at a pumpkin patch) D - 1 bite pork ribs and one bite rice S - small piece of cake - thank goodness the cake is gone now. I am determined to have a good food week - now that I have restriction again, I am bringing my 1/3 c protein to work. I walked for about 45 minutes total today in a corn maze - man it was windy. Nicole - where are you? Wow Riley you are my inspiration too - Candra and Tina - I am a slow loser too, but I have decided to not let it bother me - slow and steady wins the race. Gotta fold some clothes and head to bed. Night all.
-
Jeez, am I the only one with nothing to do tonight? I definitely need to get out more. I took a little nap in the recliner before dinner and then went and bought some tomato soup for myself - ended up having some icecream instead - got rid of my headache though. I had had a protein drink mid morning and one mid afternoon - wasn't cutting it. I definitely need to get out more. Have fun and good luck on the walk tomorrow - the weather is supposed to be beautiful tomorrow.

Hi all - I left for Richmond this morning at 6:15 and was back in town at 10 am. I was Dr. Im's first appt at 8:30. I was up 4.5 lbs from when I last saw him on Sept 09. He apparently didn't look at the chart as he asked me if I had gained weight - maybe he was seeing if I would tell the truth? He also asked if I was snacking and I said yes as I don't feel any restriction and I have mentally fallen off track. He didn't scold me - guess he knew I felt bad enough already. He showed me that I had 6 cc in and then he filled me up to 7 cc which is where I was at before I got the fill to 7.5 on Sept 9. So I guess that my band is as full as it is going to get. I left there at 8:45. I stopped at Elk Grove Kaiser on my way home and got a flu shot - three needle pokes in one morning. I asked the nurse in Richmond if they do fills without the Lidocain shot and she said no. She said when they first started to doing fills there they didn't use the Lidocain, but now it is protocol to use it. Guess they don't want anyone moving when they are doing a fill. I can still guzzle water which is a good thing. Here's hoping we all feel some restriction and stay on the path. I am on liquids until tomorrow morning and then softs. Gosh I hope the added 4.5 lbs drop off by the beginning of next week. I was going to stop at Curves after the flu shot but decided working out on no food and a flu shot might not be the wisest - I could either pass out or start gushing blood. I'll check back in later after school - going to help out in Taran's class and hope her teacher doesn't notice I'm not eating lunch while he does.
-
I'm shooting smart thoughts your way Heather. My food today - B- 1/2 c mixture of zuchini, mushrooms, tomato and shrimp, L 1/2 c mixture of zuchini, mushrooms, tomato and shrimp, S small ice cream cone from McDonalds, D ice cream cup from Sam's, 2 bites of soft pretzel and one bite of pizza(can you tell I took the kids to Sams for dinner?). Well I was doing good until after work. But my calories aren't too bad I don't think. I took MOM this morning and this afternoon - something better happen before I have to weigh tomorrow morning at 8:30 in Richmond. I hope Dr. Im isn't too hard on me - I definitely need a fill and a smack in the head. I'm taking chicken teriyaki to my daughter and her teacher for lunch tomorrow - I'll be having water. Hopefully he doesn't ask why as he doesn't know I had surgery and he is one person I don't want to tell at this point. Where is everyone?

The support group at Point West Kaiser in Sacramento is always the 4th Saturday of the month from 11-1 so in October it is the 24th. I just got back from Super Wal Mart - Taran and I had to get out of the house for awhile. Now I need a little nap - but we walked the whole store. I picked up a few items on clearance for my kids for Christmas. Then we stopped real quick at the Sams Club that is closing today as the new big one is opening tomorrow. I got a pair of size 16 jeans on clearance for $9.81 and some pork country ribs clearanced out too. I'll put them in the freezer today for next week. They had a size 14 for $9.81 too that I almost bought for me for later but I was afraid too since I am just now fitting into a 16.

Good Morning all -I am home today with my sick daughter - spent 3 hours at the emergency room last night - she has a UTI-the advice nurse and the contact center doctor said she couldn't wait until today to be seen - so we were there from 7-10 pm last night. Taran was scared to go there so spent the first half hour crying in the waiting room. Tamra - sorry to hear about your job - check into that program to help pay for your Cobra. Candra - hope your head feels better soon. If you ever nned to talk give me a call. I'm definitely going to get scolded on Friday from Dr. Im for gaining a few pounds. At least I don't have to see Robin. Nicole - glad to hear from you - did you check the Department of Child Support Services website- it will give you info and point you in the right direction? Riley - yep I still have the same problems I had except for being obese. I didn't have any health problems before. I didn't think losing weight would make my issues go away completely but I thought it would help. Maybe if I ever get to goal weight and am at my sweet spot things will get a little easier. Heather - going to school while working is hard - I don't know how you do it. Maybe you need a small break. Marquint - what did you mean by you can't say where you got the appointment? Tina - how is Michaela doing with your job change? The babies need someone special like you. Hi to the rest of you -
-
I would wait until the day after orientation - they weigh you at orientation and use that as your starting weight - don't know why someone is spreading the rumor that they use your overview class weight. You can still start paying attention to what, how much, where, when you are eating and drinking so the transition will be easier and if you happen to lose a couple of pounds that is ok, but the first 5 or so lbs are the easiest to lose. Or if you end up losing a few, make sure you wear heavy clothes and shoes to weigh in at orientation.
-
Candra - not sure if I can help you with the motivation piece of it - I am not doing too well myself. I think I am going to call and get an appt with my therapist. I got on the scale this morning and it was up 3 lbs from Sunday - no freaking way - I would have had to eat 9000 calories extra to do that and I can guarantee you even with my piece of pumpkin pie I didn't do that - I am going to change the batteries tonight and try again tomorrow morning. Dr. Im will rip my band out if I show up there on Friday gaining 6 lbs from our last visit on 9/9/09. The only thing I have done different the last few days is go to Curves on Sat, take MOM on Sat, go for a walk on Friday, take a Celexa on Mon, and take a water pill on Monday. I don't think one Celexa is going to make me gain weight (I am not taking another one until after Friday) and I have had at least 64 ounces or more of water every day. I have eaten more calories than allowed, but never over 2000 a day.

Candra - I was Maid of Honor at my friend's wedding back in 1986 and when I was fitted for the dress I was a size 16, but it had to be altered to a 14 before the wedding. That's sad that 23 yrs later I had to lose 75 lbs to get back into a 16. I just ate a piece of pumpkin pie (from Costco) - pumpkin in a vegetable right? I had a protein drink for breakfast and lunch plus about 1/4 c almonds, a senior chef salad and half a piece of garlic bread for dinner with very little dressing and 4 bottles of water today. I cut the lettuce up to bits before I ate it - kind of like pre chewing it. I shouldn't have eaten the garlic bread - the last couple of bites of it came up. I started taking my Celexa again today - I hadn't taken it for about 2 weeks and just couldn't hang - had the urge to cry multiple times a day and in a blah funk most of the time. If I ever get remotely close to having the possibility of any intimacy, I will switch to a different one or stop again as this one has sexual side effects. Don't think I need to worry about that any time soon though.

The Sacramento support meeting is always the 4th Sat of the month so it is on Oct 24 this month. If you search ticker on this web site you can find the directions on how to put up a weight loss ticker. I did it recently. Glad your nausea has disappeared Christine. I can't make it on the 9th or 10th, but if the majority of the people can you can go ahead without me.
-
I get the hiccups when my band is full too Candra - it is usually just a few hiccups. Marquint - I think we are looking to meet in Vacaville not Livermore - you can ride with me for free. My kids and are watching "West Side Story" from 1961 - my 15 yr old watched it in 9th grade last year and requested I get it from Netflix. I don't think I ever saw before now. Tony just got shot and died in Maria's arms. I'm scared for Nicole, but don't know what I can do to help. Do you have a relative's house you can go to Nicole? Unfortunately anyone can read everything we post on here. Hey I bought a new outfit at Kohl's on Friday - black Gloria Vanderbilt slacks size 16 and a nice Sag Harbor shirt black and white size L. -best part it only cost me $25 for the whole outfit.
-
Nicole - glad to hear you had fun out with your sister - watch those drink calories though. When do you and Mike start your counseling? Candra - you gotta let her take responsibility for her actions - I know it is hard but what would she do if you and your husband weren't around to help her out? Riley - I wish I was into exercise like you - gosh I really can't get enthusiastic about it - I went to Curves twice this week and walked a few times, but I could definitely do more. Does Saturday Oct 17 in the afternoon work for everyone to meet in Vacaville? Where would we meet? What time? Want to set up a carpool from Elk Grove?
