  1. Great, glad it worked for you. If you want to create your own, that's fine too. Or if you'd rather me make it more colorful I can do that too, just give me suggestions. I love playing with that Glitter Word Generator.
  2. Step right up! Get your very own Size 9 in '09 signature tag! I've created one and added it to my signature. If you like it, simply right-click on the image, select Properties. Copy the web address listed under Address (URL). To add the image to your signature, paste that web address between two tags. Hopefully that will work for you! Yay! I have a goal! Granted it's about 80lbs away, but it's a goal! I'm so ready for 2009!!!

    whats everybody reading?

Yes it will be! Dexter was renewed for seasons 4 and 5!!!
  4. AGH all these cute babies!!!!! Makes me want to have one...almost. :wink2:
  5. You may want to rethink that. A lot of people have said that after their first fill, they don't feel restriction for up to 2 weeks. Personally, I had my fill and didn't feel a darn bit of difference for a week. Then it just hit me, and I lost 3lbs in one week. So I wouldn't go get that 2nd fill so soon. Wait at least 2 weeks before you do it. You might wake up one morning and find you're so tight you can't swallow water. Honestly, it kind of scares me that your doctor would allow you to get two fills that close together, because certainly they know how some fills have a "delayed reaction". Just be careful, that's all I'm saying.
  6. My first fill I got 3.2cc in my 10cc band, and I felt restriction for about two weeks and then it was gone. Now I'm hungry every 3hrs again, and my next fill is Friday Jan 9th.
  7. Size 9 in '09! I love it! I'm there! I may even add it to my signature!!! If I make a pretty glittery word, would you all like to add it to your signatures???
  8. The book is on my "To Read" list. Whenever I get the time....
  9. I went to see Marley and Me today! It was wonderful. I cried and laughed, and laughed and cried. I can't say that I'll watch it again - it's just sort of heart-wrenching at the end. But overall, fabulous movie. A must-see for all animal lovers.
  10. If you go to your User Control Panel, you can click on Edit Avatar on the far left, and it'll take you to the page where you can upload your own picture or choose one of the hundreds that they have. Hope that helps!!!
  11. I see your current weight listed at 229. I'm clicking on the link at the top of the page in the first post.
  12. I've had one fill so far (3 weeks ago today) and I can drink carbonated beverages. Aside from the massive burping from all the air bubbles, the carbonated beverages don't hurt me at all. I drank about half a can of Diet Ginger Ale on Christmas Eve - no problems! I'm not saying you should do it - I'm just saying it probably won't hurt a bit.
  13. Yesterday~ DH's Grandmother only knows how to make one thing - casseroles. Even the main dish (chicken and dressing) was in casserole form - if that's even possible. I ate the worst meal I've eaten since being banded. But God Bless her, she means well. :tongue2:
  14. OMG. God bless my DH's grandmother, she really does mean well. We went to her house for Christmas Day and I swear, the woman doesn't know how to cook anything that's not in a casserole of some sort. I ate the absolute worst meal I've eaten since I had the band! And when it was all over, she would not take NO for an answer when I said I didn't want leftovers! She forced me to take them! So when I left her house last night, I stopped at the first gas station I saw and THREW EVERY BIT OF IT IN THE TRASH CAN. ;) Talk about having some will power!!! I even was able to avoid having a slice of my mom's 10 layer chocolate cake - the frosting is a family secret passed down for several generations. I swear, I deserve a medal for resisting that yesterday. My husband even congratulated me on doing so well with the food!
  15. My weigh-in for yesterday was -1. Didn't have a chance to get on yesterday to read everything and post, busy busy! Happy to report, I didn't gain any weight today! I am the same this morning as I was yesterday morning, and that is a definite victory. Mom's 10 layer chocolate cake was sooooo hard to resist. :tongue2: Not to mention that my DH's grandmother doesn't know how to cook anything that isn't in some sort of casserole. I ate some pretty bad things yesterday, but since my meal at 3p was pretty much the only food I ate all day (minus a few nibbles of left overs about 10p last night), I guess it didn't work out too badly in my favor. Happy Christmas to all...hope you all had a wonderful day! I'm back to work today while my husband gets to party with the in-laws a little longer. So jealous...

    What's for Dinner Tonight?

That is fabulous isn't it?? I've been making scrambled eggs on the weekend for DH and I, but I add diced onions and diced ham. Topped with sour cream and salsa...pure heaven. And lots of protein!

    What's for Dinner Tonight?

I made a taco salad, without the taco. :tt2: Layer of ground beef, layer of ff refried beans, layer of 2% 4-cheese Mexican shreds. Melt the cheese, then top with diced onions, chopped tomatoes, shredded lettuce, chunky mild salsa and a dollop of sour cream. I could have used a few of the Baked Tostitos scoops as a bed for my taco stuff, those aren't too bad for you. But I nixed the chips last night. Did you know that chunky salsa is naturally fat free and low calorie??? The only thing bad about it is the sodium content!
  18. For the record, I clicked the link at the top of the page, and I don't see her name there either. You say you added skinnysue to the list, but I don't see her name either. I wonder if your updates are actually staying? I don't know how Google Docs works so I can't help you.
  19. Mini, I love the pictures!!! Her dress is beautiful - it's a perfect Winter Wedding dress. The red is fabulous!!!
  20. I would make it with non-fat milk but my husband refuses to drink non-fat milk. He'll compromise with 2% but no lower, haha. So as a result, I use 2%. I imagine non-fat would work just the same, though it might not get as thick. Non-fat milk is almost akin to Water, haha.
  21. I've got just the thing to squash your hunger for the drive home, because I do the same thing! Have you ever made the instant sugar free pudding by Jello? They have lots of flavors, my favorite is the Cheesecake flavor. Anyways, the pudding is prepared with 2 cups of 2% milk per box. I prepare the pudding as directed, and then I add in one scoop of Protein powder. When I make the Cheesecake pudding I add a scoop of vanilla Ice Cream protein powder (made by Optimum Nutrition). But there are all sorts of combinations you can do. I divide the pudding into two containers (1c in each container), and I eat one of the containers as an afternoon snack about 30mins before I leave work. It keeps me satisfied until I can get home and cook some dinner! The box of pudding made with 2% milk and a scoop of protein powder is about 400cals, so I guess that makes it a 200cal snack with about 20g protein.
  22. How are you feeling after your first fill? Any restriction to speak of? I thought I read this weekend somewhere that you had felt some discomfort with your fill.

    Drinking with a straw

I'm a 'Man In Uniform' groupie myself. Army fatigues, fireman's hat, cop's shield and gun... I think a woman's "preoccupation" with Men in Uniform can probably be likened to a man's "preoccupation" with teachers and nurses - am I right?
  24. Hah, looks like I can't go wrong with the Spring Valley ones! I'll hit up my local Walmart tonight. Or perhaps I should avoid Walmart until after Christmas...maybe I'll just order them online, LOL.
