Hi there! My first appoitment with Dr. Gitkind went great. He is very nice. I will be attending the meeting tomorrow night at 6:00. Hopefully I will see some of you there? My name is Robyn and I will probably be there around 5:45 if I don't hit too much downtown traffic! Robyn -
My first appointment with Dr. Gitkind tomorrow at UMASS. I have waited almost 4 months for this appointmet and I am so excited and nervous. :tt2: I will post an update once I am back from my apointment.

My first "intake" appointment was moved up from September 10th to tomorrow morning!! I am so excited and nervous!! I would love to chat with any of you UMASS Bandsters! Kindly, Robyn -
hey, razzy, was in the chat room tonight and you asked me about drinking. stepped to the bathroom when I got back you had left the chat room. My doctor told me to not drink 30mins before I eat and 1 hour after. What I do is I don't fix my drink until after I eat and when I go out to eat (which has not been but once since the surgery) I just order the drink to go. hope that helps.

Hi there. Thanks for your reply! I had to attend 2 meetings in May and I have been waiting for my first appointment since then! So, I have not started anything yet. I hope to have my surgery within 6 months of my appointment on 09/10. Good Luck to you with your upcoming surgery! Robyn

Hi there! I posted in the wrong area, I meant to post my information in this folder as I will be going through UMASS Worcester's Weight Center. I have my first "intake" appointment scheduled for 9/12/08 and I can't wait!! I attended both the meetings in May and I have had to wait until September for my first appointment! I guess there are lots of people that are interested. :smile2: I would love to hear about people's experiences at UMASS with the hospital and the staff. I am 32 years old, live in the Worcester area and my BMI is around 47, Yikes! I would LOVE to chat with other people going through the program at UMASS. Hi there.... I am new to this website, it's great!! I have started researching WLS since February 2008. I finally have my first "intake" appointment in a couple weeks to start my journey towards the Lapband. I am here to learn from others and hopefully make some friends along the way!!
