I would love to try tampons but I seriously have no clue how to use one. I grew up with no mom/sisters so I learned pads on my own. I know I COULD learn how by reading the box but now I have Mirena and havent had a period in over a year. Next time I get one I think I will try a tampon.

I WONT MISS -my thighs rubbing and being sore. -being completely depressed when leaving a store because NOTHING fit that I tried on. -People thinking I am dumb just because I am fat. - my lack of confidence to quit my job and look for a new one that respects me -Pretending I am too busy to go on a hike or rafting because I am embarrassed. -Dreading my 10 yr HS reunion and me still being fat.

Who did you surgery? I met with one from PeaceHealth who was very nice. The name escapes me at the moment.

I AM! I grew up in Eugene for most of my life and a few years in Portland. I am currently stationed in Montana, only 2 years left and then back to green Oregon. I visit several times a year and miss it so much! I wish I was getting banded there by a Dr. I somewhat know.

I wish I could tell people I really do! My family is not very understanding. In fact to this day I am picked on by them about everything. From my choice in husbands to my choice of lettuce (seriously I was picked on because I prefer iceburg). I brought it up a year ago and they scolded me. You are lucky to have people who will support you.

Mine was with 2 guys. I am up for 2 women but 2 men is more my liking. My husband is secure enough with himself to have another man around in sex. Its not like he is receiving anything from the other male. Thats my rule: the guys cant touch sexually. Only me! LOL

I have Tricare Prime and yes it is covered! I have my surgery date all ready to go! You can call up the Tricare number and ask them yourself from reassurance. Your PCM will refer you to a surgeon in the network that will work with you. EDIT: I just realized how old this thread is and why Tricare wasnt covering it LOL Way to be observant on my part!

There was a thread on here that I found that was about 3 pages on people experiences. Might look that one up too. Now for my eval. I went to the nutrition class and immediately after went to see the Psychologist. He asked me a whole 5 questions such as: Who is your support? Are you willing to change your life or this? Are you depressed? Have you ever/now suicidal? How do you feel about this whole transformation? I was in and out in 5 minutes! I have heard that some people had a much longer and intense appt. than I did on the forums.

Good for her ad her son! As long as the son wanted the surgery too, there is nothing wrong with it. They knew the risks going into this and him being young. Being heavy in your teen years is very hard! He is also has only learned 13 yrs of bad eating habits while some of us have 20, 30, 40 years to reverse.

I used this is and while it made my skin feel good I couldnt wear it. I have dry skin and it would flake off in about an hour. I looked good when i put it on first thing in the morning. I was losing the makeup in patches even and looked like a leper! So i dont recommend it for dry skin, if you have oily skin it is good.

I have been told that hot tubs and saunas help tighten back up loose skin. When you do this you will sweat a lot and it helps your elasticity. I have been told to do this by people who have lost weight. I plan on doing this, hope it works.

Ever since I found out I was getting surgery food just doesnt taste the same. Its all bland! Soda is not sweet, candy is not sweet, fast food taste like grease and fat. I like it because its making me think "if this stuff tastes so bad, i wont miss it!" I wonder if its just a big mental game or what. Anyone else have this happen?

GREAT JOB! Could it be you lost more inches and gained muscle so thats why you can fit in a smaller size? 30 lbs can make a world of a difference to what you can fit into. I hope to have the same success as you!

I have before and it was great. It was a friend (since HS) and my husband (then boyfriend) it happened a few times and even once with the friends wife. We still stay in contact and giggle about our wild nights. Now that I am heavier I am not willing to have one, too many body issues. Maybe once the weight is lost I will gain that confidence back again. One problem I have had is once I tell someone they assume I am going to hit on them or want to sleep with them. I am curious not a whore thank you very much! LOL! Or the worse is when they discover I am bi, they ask why I havent hit on them.

It went great! He is a very nice man and had a lot of information for me. Of course half of it I already knew from research. He actually put the band around my thumb and filled it! I was really cool to see what the band does and feel it too. His patients have to take a nutrition class which is 2-3 hours and a pysch. eval. that took a whole 2 minutes. They just asked if I was depressed/suicidal and how I felt about starting my new life. That was it!

No I am not self pay, sorry I cant help with prices. I called the office on Sept 17th and made my appointment for September 30th. I think thats pretty fast. From what I have heard he is booked out 2 month or so for surgery. I am sure that is quicker than 1 year in Canada. If you come to Montana will Alberta Health Care not pay for the surgery? I imagine not since its a different country. The receptionist who I talked to at Dr. Rohrer was very pleasant

Every time I looked it said 2 on the Tricare handbook website. Jeez and I thought I had some nice news to share, come to find out its old.

I have been a lurker for about a month or 2 now and figure I should join in the fun. I am currently residing in Montana :rolleyes2: and have a consult with Dr Rohrer on the 30th of this month. I have a theory that if I mention too much or to too many people I will jinx the chance at surgery. So once insurance approves it, i will be a big talker. :star:Bella Bean:star:

I live in Great Falls and surgery is done here in town. It is beautiful living here but it is so small! I am a big city girl and this town lacks a lot of what I am used to. So that's my thumbs down LOL! I am from Oregon and always will be! Congrats on your surgery Becky! Thank you for the offer with advice, I may take you up on it someday.

I am planing on seeing Dr Rohrer. I heard he is very popular. I hear great things. I see him on the 30th of this month. If you are still interested I can maybe give you some information when that time comes.
