Dr. C Have you ever heard of having a bowel obstruction with the lap band? I recently had to go to the e.r. [ I think I had the flu] since i was having dry heaves and was worried about the band. They gave me a c.t. scan and said the band was the cause of a obstruction in the small intest. Put me in the hospital for three days to watch me ,then said I didn't need surgery and let me go home!

Redding Ca. here,we have to drive two hours to the airportthen the plane ride is about 1 3/4 hrs. not too bad except that after surgery the car ride is a little to much! I'm happy to see that we are the same age and having this done,most of the people going trough this seem to be in their twenties and thirties,not that I think I'm old or anything!HaHa The women I have talked to seem to average around 5 pounds a week,that works for me!!!If you go down to have fill at the end of the month maybe I'll see you there,we fly in on the 31st. keep up the good work!!!!!!!!Sheree a.

I don't find many people with their first name spelled like mine! How are you doing with your weight so far? My husband got banded on April 19th and is doing great!!!I can't wait for my turn! Hi ! I'm getting ready to have LB in Mexico,live in Calif. and planning to move to the Denver area in the next few months, does anyone know of a doctor that will do fills if you have your surgewry done in Mexico?thanks for the help!:help:

Good Luck on the 18th! Yes, we are lucky to be doing this at the same time,well, it will be a month or so between our surgeries. If you have the operation in the States,it takes awhile to book your date but in Mexico they had openings fairly soon, I think that is because that's just about all they do there.I wished that I would of had this done when I was young like you but I guess,better late then never!Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing O.K.? bye, Sheree a.

I just finalized mt husbands surgery date with Dr. Kuri for April 19th! He's never had surgery[ He's 51] before and he's scared to death! He wants it so bad that I know he will be brave when the time comes! When he goes down for his first fill, I plan on having the surgery too.
