  1. Let me start this off by saying I've never been a fan of milk and I don't like shakes (not even milkshakes from Culver's). I just don't like the chalky aftertaste and thick texture of the protein shakes. I'm not hungry, just bored (If that makes sense). So here's what I'm doing and I would love for you all to help me. Please tell me what I can add to make it to the 16th. -Chicken broth with protein powder mixed served warm and eaten with a spoon. -A clear Jell-O -1-2 premier protein shake (chocolate or vanilla) -64 oz or more of water -Also just added Gatorade GZero last night (completely helped me with my muscle spasms) Anything fun you all doing or did to help add variety to the full liquid phase?
  2. I, too, LOVE water. It just tastes so refreshing. I don't put anything in it, and it rocks. I love it. I do miss guzzling it. I accidentally gulped once while working on my computer and got so scared. I was like, "Uh-Oh, that gulp was too big!" I felt it too. Thanks for the kind words.
  3. Thanks, everyone. Made it through Liquid Diet pre-op. On to liquid diet post-op. It is going well. It's surprisingly hard to get the full liquid and protein count in. But glad that I'm on the other end of the WLS.

    Regrets ?

I'm six days post-op, and I don't think I regret it. The day I was dismissed from the hospital, they stopped my blood pressure and diabetic medications. That's huge! But since then, my sugar has been low, and my pressure has been low once or twice, which is weird. I'm just wondering if all my problems will reverse or if my body is trying to find my new homeostasis. I've been on liquids only for nearly a month now, and that's getting old. But no soreness, and I didn't experience any gas pain at all, even in the hospital, probably due to my unique circumstances. I've had a bit of trouble sleeping and have been a bit lightheaded. Lastly, I thought getting in protein would be a breeze, but in reality, it's far more challenging than I thought. I never knew how much I truly disliked protein shakes until I had to drink 3-5 daily for 30 days. I look forward to eating again, even if it is mush. Anything not sweet, anything I can use my jaws on, LOL 😂. Liquid Diet Weight Loss: -27 lbs (2 weeks) and Post Surgery Weight Loss: -4 lbs (4 days)
