Same to you!!! I know! I've been so excited about it - didn't even mind the 2 week liquid too much - but now that it's here, I'm super nervous and questioning... I know it's just my brain playing mean tricks, but man I have the jitters this morning!

That is just awful. She sounds horrid. I hope you get away from her as soon as possible. I would also start documenting everything she does and says with date and time and take pics too (all the things about leaving stuff out, throwing things away, etc.) - she's trying to gaslight you. The documentation could help should you ever have to commit her.
Put key locks on all cabinets (leave her one) and fridge. And definitely put one on your bedroom/bathroom.
It's your house. She may have 'nowhere' to go, but you absolutely do not have to be near her or engage with her.

Thank you, I'm going from Tampa to Coral Springs Fl, its almost a 4hr drive, but a 50min flight and flights were $40 each way.

Omg and I think I have it hard just dealing with temptation when I go out with friends and family. I can’t imagine dealing with this in my own house everyday. Do NOT let her win. Every pound you lose In spite or her trying to sabotage you is a little victory over her. And every argument you and your husband do not have is another one. She clearly thrives on causing drama and if you refuse to give it to her she probably still won’t change but it will steel all her thunder at least. I have a family member who is mentally ill and refuses to get help and she likes to create drama too. I had to practically cut her out of my life and keep her at a distance because I struggle with my own mental health issues that I do try to get help with but, if you are strong enough you can have her around and let her THiNK she doesn’t phase you. She surely will get to you at least from time to time but try to hide it if you and your husband do argue agree to do it outside of the house where she can’t see it and she will try even harder for a short while to create issues but ideally it will lose its novelty if she see that you are losing weight as you want to and your husband and you are a united front. No matter what do not let her sabotage this for you. You deserve this.

^ All of this. If she wants to f*ck around, let her find out.
Toxic manipulators really don't deserve any chances, especially when they are clearly in the process of gleefully causing damage.

Thanks everyone for all your understanding and input, it makes me feel a little less crazy.
My Husband has been throwing out any junk food she leaves on the kitchen counter like whole cakes, donuts, Cookies and chips and she's started annoying him by picking all the meat out of dishes and eating it leaving just Pasta etc. So he's started saying once shes gone, he wont talk to her anymore as he's done, it would be nice for action though.
We've also had a few chats with her, she just acts clueless, denies everything, hums random songs over us talking, acts like she's got dementia or says she must (she jokes about it) or laughs it off. Her daughter has been diagnosed with Borderline personality disorder and thinks her mum has it to but there's no way she'd get help, she enjoys messing with lives, hence why her daughter cut all ties with her.
I think I'll do what many of you have suggested and buy a small fridge with a lock. My husband and I are renting this place but we're looking at buying and he's said once we move, she can stay in this rental by herself and pay her own bills or find elsewhere as she's not moving with us. Hopefully this is sooner rather than later. Thanks again everyone for all your support.

IMO, the real problem here is your husband.
"my husband has said, she can't buy a house until interest rates settle down, there's no rentals in the area and he can't kick her out because she will have nowhere to go, so we just have to put up with her until then."
None of those things are your and your husband's problem. I'm sure there are some rentals, somewhere. She has lost the privilege to live in your home, and she needs to deal with the consequences.

    First time poster:

Figured this is a group that would appreciate this…..

I’m 3 weeks post surgery and am down a little bit of weight. On my first day back to work, I put on my regular work pants (stretch dress pants, 2XL). I also had put on a new body shaper (HoneyLove) because I have to wear a suit in a couple days for an important offsite meeting. I tried on the shaper this morning and decided it was best to wear it to work to get used to wearing it/break it in. Plus it’s like wearing the binder and actually helped with the discomfort from the laparoscopic sites.

Problem is, I didn’t think about the combination of the weight loss + the silkiness of the body shaper meant that the loose dress pants really had nothing to cling to. They don’t have any pockets or belt loops. I walk into the front door of a very busy building, swipe my badge, and as I’m in the front lobby and beginning to walk down the hallway to the elevators, I almost trip—MY PANTS WERE AROUND MY ANKLES. Because of the legs of the body shaper shorts, I never even felt them slip down. I’m carrying things in my arms and immediately have to bend down, drop everything out of my arms, grab my pants, pull them up, then hold them up while I pick up everything off the floor. 😖🥺😳😳😳😳😳

I didn’t even look around to see how many people saw the whole thing. I just kept my head down, kept one hand clinging onto my pants with the other arm juggling my stuff and walk as fast as I can to the elevators. Had to walk around with one hand down on my side slyly gripping my pants. Felt like Bob Dole with a dead arm while I was awkwardly walking from room to room. 🤣😂

*Sigh*. Good news/bad news eh? Definitely an eventful return to work!

7th day of preop diet, it has become easier. I had my husband's birthday party and I cooked everything without tasting it lol.

Only negative thing was having some steak instead of my lean Protein, but otherwise following it to the T.

    Getting excited! 8 more days!

Checking in after surgery. Post op plus 2 days. I'm grateful for the overnight in the hospital for the IV fluids and nausea meds (zofran). No real surgery pain, mostly discomfort, gas, and my tummy being so empty. Tolerate warm and room temp liquids better than cold (cold sends a sharp cramping when it hits tummy)
I've never been so aware of where "food" is in my digestive system! 😆
Sweet things taste soooo sweet its almost gross...maybe that will help save me in the long run...
Taking it slow and careful, but each day gets easier to hit goals.

I had mine done 11/8. I was discharged 4 hours after the procedure. I think the hardest part for me was coming out of anesthesia it took about 24 hours. I am able to get my clear fluids in it I just get nauseous thinking about adding in Protein.

My surgery was also the 8th. Today I have been able to drink about 30 oz of Water and about 3 oz of a Protein Shake. Not much. My dr told me that I would most likely not hit my goals this week and possibly next week either. Just do your best

You will not be alone on thanksgiving for sure. I start my two week liquid diet on 11-14 and will be on it on thanksgiving. I am scheduled 11-28, I think I might be the last one in November that is in this group. I haven't seen anyone posting the 28th or after. I wish you the best, please keep us posted!

Got my gastric bypass on Nov 4. Doing really good, but tire easily. Just started on pureed foods. SO made me chicken with peas & carrots. Looked like baby poop, but tasted delicious! Lost 12 pounds since surgery day. Glad to be able to have my Protein Shakes again! A good friend of mine who had a bypass done just over a year ago, can't believe I haven't experienced dumping syndrome yet. Keeping my fingers crossed, but very careful with how I am adding food into my diet. Hope all is going well with my early Nov surgery buddies!!
