Wow! Now I am down to only 7 days until my surgery. I am very excited about it. I spoke with a good friend today, she is supportive, but warned me that it is going to be a major life change. I am ready for it. I first considered lapband in 2006, so I feel as though this has been a 2 year process. So anyway I went to GNC to get the protein shake stuff, the vitamins and some other stuff. I spent almost $100 bucks, not too bad because it is enough for 2 months. I probably will not be eating solids until after 3 months. I am getting sleepy, so I will go, hopefully I will be more in the mood to write.

Okay, so here I am. I really did try, I lost 10lbs, but..well..I cheated and I need to get back on track. I was hungry and out and about, so I stopped and got not one but 2 large fries!!! WHAT!??? They tasted sooo good. I really need this surgery. I get into trouble with I feel hungry and I have too many choices. But this morning I am back on the ball, I had some oatmeal and I am drinking coffee, which is another issue I am going to have to deal with! I really only went off the plan for that one meal, but, I need to be more careful and pack snacks with me, especially if I am going to run errands. I am down to 11 more days, and I cannot wait! I am excited for the surgerya dn the time off work....WHOOOO HOOOOO!!

Hey atl38,
I don't think the ins. will care which doc sends in the information, you just need to meet the criteria and make sure they are in network. I don't blame you for being upset,:cursing: that is ridiculous! Once you make the commitment to do this, you want people to take you seriously and do their part. We have to jump through a lot of hoops to get this done, all they have to do is dial a number and press fax!

Hey Trina,
That is called P'bing ( productive belching, I had never heard of it). You need to chew, chew, chew! I know I am going to have problems with chewing enough, I was a RN for 17 years and would be lucky to get 15 minutes to eat! Now as a FNP I can take my time, but bad habits are hard to break!

They may make you attend one of the information sessions go to Surgical Weight Management - Bariatric Weight Loss Surgeons in Atlanta, Georgia performing Lap-Band and Gastric Bypass Surgeries for dates and times. They are great with getting you in for appointments. Shawna is wonderful about guiding you through the steps and submitting paperwork. My approval came through in about 2 days. Let me know how it goes!

Yeah! I am getting so close!
I am so happy that you took care of yourself and saw another doctor! What a A**HOLE! He was accusing you of not following the program, all the while he wasn't filling your band properly! I would definately let him know. Jerk!
But, in the long run you are on you way again!

I just looked at my calendar, yes October is coming and we are going to one, by one have a new life! Annethecolorgreen has really put it together for us! For those of you who are going in on the first, I wish you well!!! :thumbup:
