    March 23 buddies yet?

I was sleeved on March 7th, with a 2 week Pre-Op Diet. I lost 20 lbs prior to surgery and since I’m down another 25 lbs and 4 inches off my waist. I get on the scale way too often! I can tolerate almost anything and I’m still on soft foods. I work out 6 days a week; a Pilates workout, 30 minutes on a stationary bike and an arm workout with a resistance band instead of weights. I’ve somehow made the mental switch to eating to live and I look at food completely different now. I’m rarely hungry and sometimes forget to eat. I have a huge sweet tooth and I’ve been worried about never having sugar again. I bought a Ninja Creami and problem solved!! The ice cream I can make tastes great !! So far the only regret I have is not doing this sooner. My team is happy with my progress so far and I’m looking forward to creating my new look. I am freaking out a little about the possibility of losing my hair. If it happens around 3 months, that’s next month for me. I have a lot more energy.

Oh, thank you!!! The only exercise I can do right now is walking, they haven't given me the clearance to resume workouts. I'm eating less than 800 calories per day but this is driving me crazy. Great advice on only weighing weekly, I'm on that dang scale at least twice a day

So I'm incredibly disappointed in my progress so far. I was sleeved on March 7th and I've only lost 15 lbs. I know everyone is different and we're not supposed to compare but I'm a little panicked. Would someone mind sharing how they've done this month after surgery? I did contact my Nutritionist and asked her how many calories I should be eating a day and she said not to worry about that right now. Just concentrate on getting my protein and water in, which I am doing.

You are a stud if you can pull this off, I couldn't have done it. If you are committed I wish you all the luck in the world. Take lots of water with a couple of protein drinks; hopefully, they will give you pain meds. This is probably a ridiculous idea but could you also let a flight attendant know you've just had surgery? Maybe they could keep an eye on you while you're sleeping. Please have someone pick you up at the airport and I'd also let your employer know there's a chance you may not be in Monday. I hope you do great!!!!

I'm day 10 Post Op and I feel ok. I've been to see my surgeon for follow up and she said I'm doing fine. I'm always exhausted but I did way too much way too soon. I've been a little nervous to start the Pureed Stage but I did eat a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese last night. Think long and hard about it before you go, this is something that can't be reversed. Make sure you are sure.

    March 23 buddies yet?

Day 6 Post-Op for me!! I had my sleeve surgery on March 7th. I agree with most of what has been said so far but I had quite a lot of pain for the first 3 days. They ran some tests, which showed nothing, so I imagined it or have turned into a big baby! I thought days 1-3 were brutal but in hindsight, I probably should have done a few things better. 1. Do exactly what your nurses tell you to do as soon as they tell you to do it. No matter how you feel. If they don't get you up and walking, you ask. My first nurse had me up on the first day and we walked twice. The next day was his day off so no one offered after that. As I was laying in bed miserable every time I looked up there was a young lady with pink hair and a big smile on her face making lap after lap. So I got approval to do it on my own 2. Start drinking the moment they tell you. It will look gross but it will make you feel so much better and SIP DO NOT GULP!! I could only get down water and didn't really even try to until the 3rd day 3. Have a game plan for recovery. I'm not sure why this happened but I woke up feeling very strange about what I'd done. Several moments of Buyer's Remorse and I remember just feeling sick about it. Almost like I hadn't expected it or the surgery happened by surprise. I can't really describe it but it was very strange and I didn't snap out of it for at least 2 days. So pull in your support group as quickly as you need. So now it's Day 6 and I almost feel back to normal. Pain is gone, I'm having no trouble getting all my protein and liquids in. I'm a little more tired than normal but that's it, really. I think the rest is going to be mental, so I'm trying to get my expectations in a realistic position. Please don't doubt your decision, or feel alone. We're all in this together and we can lean on each other when we need
