I've gone from a DDD at 295lbs to a C at 163lbs. They overspill a tiny bit but I assume they'll still fit on a C at my goal weight. Based on your current propositions I'd say you'd probably be left w some size at your goal weight!

Don't worry too much about 1st week weight loss, you're still carrying a lot of fluids from surgery & it affects the scale.

Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go first

I went to a theme park twice last week & fit in every ride! & not gonna lie, I also compared my saftey bar w other people's & was surprised to see mine go lower/tighter than the people who sat next/near me. I'm especially proud since I had issues fitting in some of these rides at this exact theme park years ago -
Ahh my family is planning a trip to a Latin American country & I'm worried about those exact same things! I assume I'll have to take half of my protein snack stock & live off of pre-cooked frozen chicken breast from the grocery store. I'd have to stick to the basics. I'm happy to hear you fit in the seat better! That has to be an amazing feeling

It's my birthday!! I ordered a Bourbon sauce Mahi Mahi & shrimp plate! I had all 4 shrimp, half the Mahi Mahi & I only got like 2 bites of the potatoes & a few of the sweet potato shavings & it was AMAZING -

pre-op diet starts Friday.....HELP
qtdoll replied to Nina35's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In terms of protein shakes, I don't recommend getting a giant bag/tub of protein as your tastebuds might change after your surgery. Get pre-made ones & I cannot recommend Fairlife protein shakes enough! They cost a bit more per serving vs powder protein but in terms of taste they're A+ I've tried both their 26g protein & their 30g protein versions & they're both delicious. -
Like everyone else mentioned, walking is key! But I also HAVE to recommend YanaFit videos on Youtube! Especially her low-impact exercises. They are very easy on the body but very effective. They've helped me a ton! I attached a easy entry-level 15 min exercise video of hers. I followed this video many times & you'll eventually be able to move onto longer ones. Give them a try!

This is hard. I weighed in the 160's in middle school & was dealing with undiagnosed PCOS & thyroid issues (& I played sports) - By high school I was in the 180-190's. I would have LOVED the help, those years were so hard & being obese only amplified that. But at the same time, I think dealing with SUCH a strict diet at that age could be risky. I feel like going from a regular teenage diet, to one of the most strict diets out there could maybe have a negative impact psychologically, I've read stories about ED's developing from less. I personally don't think I would have been able to handle such a drastic change during those years. If anything, I HOPE there is a larger emphasis on psych care for younger patients. It's such a huge & permanent life decision & I'd want this to go as smooth as possible for them. But in the end I think with proper care & proper education it could go well. It'd be nice to read a story of a teen with a happy ending 😌

Significant Other & Comments
qtdoll replied to RobertM2022's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Someone who watched me be obese for most of my life is currently doing this. Even pre-op he'd make small comments whenever I ate one of my dad's Sunday dinners instead of my own. & he'll sometimes remembers things I ate a month ago & a few days ago I posted a photo of a frozen pizza box at the store with a TV character I like on it (didn't buy it, just took a pic of the character) & he said 'take it easy!' as if I was about to wolf it down. Its frustrating bc I KNOW I've put in so much effort in my weight loss & don't need the policing but I also know it's bc he's seen me at my worse. He wants me to be better, but I also feel there needs to be a discussion on how to do it. It CAN be hurtful & they need to know that -
Binge Eating Before Surgery
qtdoll replied to Hollyserene's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I -wanted- to have a final cheat day but the surgeon gave me my surgery date much sooner than I planned & I had to go on the pre-op diet immediately. I thought I was gonna miss out on my favorite foods forever. I'm 3mos out & Im already having some of my favorite foods! I bring this up because it's NOT a final goodbye. It's more of a 'see you later' Get back to your program, start eating healthy, it will be worth it & you will still eventually enjoy your favorite foods. Don't sabotage this opportunity! If you truly feel you cannot control it please talk to a professional. Binging issues don't go away after surgery if they are not properly addressed. Take care 💜 -
What a journey! & I'm not finished yet

During my first month I'd also get sweaty & my heart rate would go up to 95-100bpm after eating. I'm not too sure why that happened, I looked it up & got a few different answers but I felt it was just my body working overtime during such a crucial time. All went back to normal eventually

Anyone else able to chug water?
qtdoll replied to SmolGojira's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I can't chug in the same way I would after being outside in a hot summer day, but I can take generous gulps, which I REALLY enjoy. I think it's normal for a lot of us! I'd even consider us lucky. -

Made more mini pizzas! Switched from full fat cheese to low fat string cheese & it brought each pizza down to 183cals! & 24g of protein. LOVE these so much -
Bari things that give you the ick
qtdoll replied to kbsleeved's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
DUMPING. I hate the word. It sounds so much more messy than it actually can be. It just feels graphic lol Also pre-op people who try to find ways to cheat a program or get out of dieting before they even get the surgery. (tiktok comment sections are flooded with them) -

I bought this basketball jersey many months ago in a size I knew I wouldn't fit in (it's an athletic fit medium) in hopes I'd fit in it this year. I tried it on today & it finally went on! I couldn't even get it over my shoulders when I got it -
I checked the app I use & it says for a woman who is 5'5, 111lbs to 149lbs is your 'normal' range so you have to room to work with (also keep in mind the app I use uses the traditional BMI scale & it's not taking muscle weight into consideration)

What to do when you don't want to eat?
qtdoll posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I follow my programs calorie guide very strictly & the excitement to eat food has made it easy to keep up with that. I'm now 3 months out, that excitement had faded a bit & for a week or so I was 100 cals under my goal (800cals) - now I'm 200cals under my goal. How do you make sure to eat when you're truly just -not- hungry? -
Thaaaank you! I appreciate you explaining it. I don't know many of the specifics that go into it
