Hi MChaney, every program is different and should follow your programs guidelines. Mine was different in which I could have some real protein but that was my program You can ask your team about including some turkey breast and veggies and get their approval. I would also invite you to reflect on your decision, is one day being traded for a better life. Had GI test and visit from surgeon, all good to be released today. They will be givinf me "lunch" to gauge my intake nut i have been sipping water from medicine cups with no issues, oyher than a gargling sensation at first. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

Forgot to add, have some discomfort on the 2 top incisions nothing major and Im having issues with the breathing thing, they want me to get to 1500 but I only get to 1000-1250 now but better then this afternoon that it was 500. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

Surgery done, everything is great so far. Had gas pain in my chest only which felt like my stomach, i walked on my own for 1hr at 630, then at 930. Then walk in my huge suite for 15 min. Go to the bathroom on my own, i got 2oz of water for a pill but only took 2 sips, no pain but according to my plan I shouldnt have anything prior to the GI test. I only remember changing to the operating table in a room, then waking up to them telling me we are waiting for a room. I had to ask if it was done lol. Surgery day! Heading to the hospital, have to be there at 830, procedure at 1 or earlier. The hotel I'm at its 3min away so I will get there early, since I'm up lol. I'm still feeling good, I think I may be one of those that get a panic attack there lol I added my toiletries because I remembered I cannot have deodorant or lotion on, deff need that later. Thank you, some days I was hungry others not much, but its finally over! My hospital bag only has a robe, earphones, charger, 2 spare undies, face cream, toothbrush/paste, wallet and phone. I'm going in with a dress and slip on sandals and plan on using the same when I get out Sent from my SM-G960U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

Day 14th of preop starting today. I have been feeling hungry the last 2 days at night, could be that I decreased my veggie portion without notice or my cycle messing with hormones. But no cheating allowed. Tomorrow I'm supposed to eat light and hydrate, so I will have scrambled eggs and keep the rest of the day with liquids only and after 8, clear liquids. I had my call with the hospital nurse yesterday and I asked about this since I'm spotting after not having a period for 6 months. She said not to worry about it, to use a pad and not a tampon, and if I was going to shave to do it a couple of days ahead since they wipe down your entire body and some people complain of itchiness after surgery since the skin is exposed.

Surgery on Tuesday, excited not nervous feeling calm. Had the hospital, doctor and final payment yesterday. I'm going out of town so flying in Monday night and satying until Thursday. Agree everyone seems to want to state their opinion even if unwanted. I have a few of those in my family where if you are overweight are constantly talking about your weight, lack of self-esteem and how much prettier you will be if thinner. Those same people are the ones that if you lose some weight will try to stop you from being too thin and ugly. I just let those comments slide most of the time, but there are times where I need to clarify that their opinion has nothing to do with me and everything to do with the way they view themselves.

Just got the call from the hospital confirming all information and providing instructions. It just became so real!!

I have two weeks of 3-4 shakes a day, and lean chicken/tuna and veggies for dinner, have other options but that has been working for me. Monday I will do clear liquids mainly to be prepared. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using BariatricPal mobile app
