I was banded june 5 08( something like that) and was doing well at first and the weight started to slow down. I was exercising and doing 80% probably of what i should have been doing, meaning that i was walkin 3 mi a day but i occassionally ate fried chicken or what of it i could. I told my doc and between early july and mid sept, i had probably about 10 fills. He really did not believe me. so i started seeing another doc and he discovered at my third visit that my band had a leak and that was my prob all along. So in dec 29, i had my port replaced. by then i was still at 334 and my starting weight was 368. At my post op visit in jan, late jan i was 324. Now i am 260. So since jan, late jan i have lost 64lb. So im really disappointed because i feel as if my doc would have listen to me, i would have had lost a lot more than what i have but this has been a learning experience because i have continued my workout regime and have actually toned up quite a bit. I can't get my pics to download so as soon as i do i will post them. My journey has not been easy at all. I'm one of those people that if it's going to happen, it will happen to me and it did. I do stay sick quit a bit. Righ now i have 7.3 cc in my band and i am restricted. My goal is to be 220 by late sept. I am currently on a good path right now.I have not had anymore issues with my band so far but i will keep my progress updated as much as possible.
