This thread has gotten hilarious!!!! O love the tower and welcome to all the newbies!!!! About the nail thing...well Mommy told me that the doctor had to see your cuticules during surgery so I took my wraps off and now have many broken weak fingernails....It is sad...I always loved my nails...I am a joisey girl what can I say..Yes they were about 3/4 inches long...and all mine...wrapped but all mine....sighhhhhhhh....gotta grow them as the rest of me shrinks...lol

Hello all... Just checking in....I went to my doctor today and he took my bandages off...woo hoo...Under one of the puncture wounds I have a pretty big black and blue that is a bit hard...I was concerned about it but he said it would be fine and not to worry...While still worried...I will continue to listen to his advice and not worry...haha I weighed in today and I OFFICIALLY LOST 19 lbs!!!! While I am in shock...I am thrilled with my week weight loss...I think I am off to a good start. I do think many of those lbs are due to my episodes on Saturday nite...(which is how I got the black and blue as I jumped out of bed so as to not make a mess if you know what I mean....gosh isnt it funny how we talk so openly about stuff we wouldnt even tell our best buddies????...lol) I am on mushies and tonight I had 4 oz of creamy potato Soup...and may I add that after 2 and a half ozs I was full....I was sooo thrilled I felt like I wasnt a prisoner to food any longer... So that is my update....Hope all else are doing well....

I know you chose your doctor...but wanted to throw out the name Dr Ewing of the schmidt/treveti/ewing group....You can probably schedule the surgery with him in a short time...I did and he is wonderful!!! they are out of Hackensack University Medical Center

Hello all and thank you all so much for your support...I have to say that after my last post I fell asleep and woke up at 345 this am to ..well just go pee pee I did not have to poop!!!! I went back to sleep and just woke up...I am sooo thrilled... My diet has ONLY been per hour.... Beef broth (4 oz only) Decaf coffee with a tablespoon of skim milk and 1/4 sweet low pack (4 oz only) Plain old dasani Water water with special k Protein powder thrown into it popsickles sugar free (maybe 2 a day) sugar free Jello That is all I was told to have (I could have any kind of broth but felt beef was heartier) (Some juices if I cut them in half with water and cryastal lite) I was told nothing with sugar So today I am going to drink some Vitamin water with some calories and Vitamins and find some sugar free gatorade or something... I feel so much better than that shaking basket case I was last night!!!! THANK YOU ALL SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!

it is a bit scary..electrolyte imbalance is a tough thing...I do happen to kjnow someone who passed away from that after having the gastric bypass 6 months out of surgery....it was a horrible thing and it is something I am leary of...
