hey there. I am 4 days out...and still cant sleep in any position other than my back. It feels like the weight of my stomach is pulling my incisions. UGH! but oh well! I am managing. I am surviving off of protein shakes too. And I have had some broth. I was hungry the first couple of days, but then figured out what to do with it. I got myself on a schedule. Protein shake for Breakfast, lunch, and dinner....and in between lots of water, broth (rachel ray chicken broth is really good!) and even a sugar free pudding or sugar free jello every now and then. The pain is slowly going away. I started at 244 on day 1 of pre-op diet, and today i am at 229!!! WOOHOO! On Surgery day I weighed in at 236.... still good! as long as the soreness and back pain will go away so i can comfortably sleep...and move and bend...all will be good.
