thanks for posting this... i am desperate for a fill!!!! desperate!!! i went to my appt which was about five weeks post op and he said because i was down 21 lbs he wasnt going to adjust me. I was a little upset.. because i feel i am strictly on will power now. My next apt is oct 13th.. i will beg on my hands and knees for one. LOL he said that 4-8 lbs a month is all he is looking for... sllllllllllllllllllloooooooooowwww and steady wins the race!

Im still on mushies... how long do i stay on them.. Im confused... I dont go back to the dr until sept 15th... I can call my dr office.. but i thought i would ask all my friends first  -
I started at the gym three weeks post op.. Just 40-45 minutes of cardio... i go five days a week. (i did this pre op too since january) i do elliptical for about ten.. then bike for 20 then treadmill for the remainder. I am going to start lifting weights again after i talk to my surgeon on tuesday... You will feel great... so much energy!!
-
ugh!!i cant wait for my first fill... i go on tuesday ...but i doubt he will give me one... i feel i am def on will power... :blushing: this is hard... its very hard...definately not the EASY WAY OUT
-
They are right... you probably have no restriction in your band.. i know i dont... I also know the scale can easily show five pounds weight gain around period time. Once it passes and its over.. the scale will go back down.. I just went through it. Right now i am hungry like i was prior to surgery.. I feel like i am on a diet and strictly on will power. i have no restriction in my band...and honestly i cant wait to get some
-
i had one week clear... one week full ( pudding... protien shakes) and then the third week i started mushies. and i stayed on mushies for two weeks.. Now tomorrow is a month out.. starting the fifth week..and i can have almost everything  that is a long time.... its hard..
-
just wondering..im in mushies.. i had mashed potatoes from boston market ..and refried beans from taco bell
-
oh my goodness guys.... enough... really... :sneaky: we are all on this journey!!! and all PLAN to be successful...and all are not even banded a month... lets not talk about freakin failing already!!!
-
oh no.. im sorry i even started this thread... I live in reality...and in my reality.. sometimes fast food is the only choice. I just think this forum is a good place to feel comfortable and share ideas whether good or bad. Not to be repremanded. Alot of people are only honest on here. xoxoxo

i agree with your post... but like others explained..sometimes we are in situations that its not avoidable...and i think that some of us should be congratulated for finding healthy foods and making healthier choices. I have never been a fan of fast foods and it can be months before i even visit a fast food joint. I think that eating beans are healthier than mashed potaoes. I want to try my hardest to stay away from as many carbs as i can. ANYWAY... I know way did anything to sabatoge my band... I love the life style change i have made for me and my family :blushing:
-
i dont have restriction right now either... i truley feel like im on a diet... I wouldnt say im suffering... but i am im hungry. The scale is definately coming to a stand still after losing 18lbs in three weeks. I guess it will pick back up with our fills... UGH.. no one said it would be easy...

I picked up my 49 pound daughter today. :(

well the main thing is no one got hurt bad... try your hardest to not pick her up... normally she wouldnt need to be picked up.. it was a circumstance. I have a two year old and he is about thirty pounds and it is impossible not to pick him up. We are moms... we dont get a break! -
im three weeks post op today...and it does start going down .. i promise... im just about all better
-
I feel like my stomach is still swollen... is that possible??? Im almost 13 days post op
-
WOW... Im sure during this journey many of us will lose some friends... but my attitude IS like this...our friends and family are the flowers in the garden of life... SOMETIMES THE GARDEN NEEDS SOME WEEDING!!!! People have no clue sometimes... it angers me when i hear people say things like WLS is the EASY WAY OUT... BULL CRAP!!!! we are not LAZY!!!
-
oh my goodness...I hope you have a speedy recovery:) im glad your doing better
-
the gas will get better.. but it does take a couple of days... gas x really dont work much.. i took them but they really didnt give me relief... moving around... and walking really was the only trick. I had it all in my chest and in my shoulder and neck... Burping and farting didnt start until like day four for me. I feel like im still gassy...lol and it will be three weeks tomorrow :frown:
-
I am heading back to the gym tonight.. i am going to start with just cardio... no lifting yet. I havent been there in a month.. so its going to be like starting all over . I lost 40 lbs pre op from last december. i cant wait to go back... I just wanted to know if any of you started doing any kind of excer.
-
effortlessly would be amazing... especially because i feel.. that i went the extra yards to have WLS if i had to work it as much.. whats the use..LOL....
-

so far i have gone everyday this week..and i am about to leave right now... i think ill take the weekend off. :w00t: -
i dont have restriction either... the scale is slow... im afraid once i start reg food it will slow too. I guess why they say lapband isnt the easy fix... we still have to eat right and excer. i got to a sat support meeting.. some bypass patients have lost fifty pounds already. But in three years... we will be at goal..and they MIGHT be gaining.. thats what i hear anyway :w00t:
