I should have paid more attention to that .9%. My brain stopped at 99. I guess I need new glasses.
-
Apparently, it's that 1% that worries him. Who knew that after 13 years together that he would be insecure? Yeah!!!! 21 WOOT salute!!!!

I thought about the possible swelling after I posted my response. Sistasassy is right, it will get better. We will always have to go slow, but so far it was worse in the beginning. Also, depending on your doctor, you may have a little bit of fill in your band. Not all doctors do that, but if your doctor did, that would make the swelling that much more pronounced. I noticed that sipping on warm liquid like broth seemed to help me. Just keep taking it slow. I hope that you start to feeling better soon.

Good luck! Have you looked into financing your surgery? That is another way to go without insurance. I wish you the best! -
Tap-I am so sorry that your car is deciding to be a pain in the arse. I hope it feels better soon. ;0p I feel the need to gripe. My not so DH is really working on my last nerve at the moment. I don't know if it is my losing a little weight (I SO don't look hot) or what, but every time I get on lapbandtalk, he is questioning me about who I am talking to. Who am I waiting on to get on here. He is really making me want to scream. I have never given him a reason to think that I would ever cheat on him (mental or physical). I don't get it! grrrrrrrr!

If you are feeling full in your esophagus, it could be that you are either drinking to fast for it to go through the stoma and it is backing up into your esophagus, OR you are drinking too much and it is backing up in your esophagus. When I eat too fast, it clogs my throat. You may want to watch it for a little. Slow down a little and see if it makes a difference.

I agree. My doctor said to have something when I was hungry, otherwise just to make sure I stayed hydrated.

It's so good to hear that you are doing so well after surgery! I knew that you would do great! Welcome to bandland! -
I'm glad that you were able to get an answer to your question. Thanks for posting what your doctor said. Good luck!
-
Thanks, I will go to our Sam's Club and get their huge box. I hadn't thought of that. I buy Tampax Pearl, too. I will be really glad when this part is OVER!
-
So you are saying I probably have another week of this? Oh my goodness! Tampons and pads cost too much to have to buy so many in such a short amount of time.
-
Do you live in a higher elevation than where your doctor's office is? It seems strange that the pain starts at the same place each time. I have heard that air pressure can cause you to be tighter. Either way, I hope that you feel better soon.

My doctor(my lap band dr) said basically the same thing. He said that if I have to take it, use the liquid and to flush it through the stoma by drinking something after it. That said, follow whatever your doctor said. Every doctor seems to have a different opinion about it.

Well, I finally got my first period since banding. I have had it for going on two weeks now. It was light at first. It has started to get heavy now. How long does this last? This is the first period I have had since maybe May? I know it has been a while, but this is crazy. I have already gone through a box of pads and half of a box of tampons (I have to use both). My husband is ready to shoot me because of the emotions. Tell me this is going to end soon. Please?!?!?!?!
-
I'm right there with you. I lost 3 pounds between my first fill and 2nd fill. I would fluctuate the same 3 pounds for 4 weeks. I just got my 2nd fill this past Tuesday. We shall see how this one goes. I hope that you have better luck with your 2nd fill.

Mac-Love seeing your face! Beth-Thinking of you! You are going to do greatly! Fanny-Love the pictures. I wish that I had the ability to take pictures well. My pictures are always ugly. Hi to everyone else!

Congrats She!

I agree with Sue. I was swollen for a little over 2 weeks. They pump you full of fluid during surgery. It takes your body a little bit to get rid of it. -
I had strange dreams right before and after my surgery. I wasn't sure what was causing it. Lack of oxygen to my brain? lol I don't know. They have since stopped. Or at least, I don't remember them.

Coming up with other recipes does help. I know that is so hard to deal with. I know that I broke down a few times. I know that my DH was ready to have me put down. Stay strong. It will get better.

I live in Chattanooga. Who was your surgeon? My surgeon will only do fills every 4 weeks for the first 3 months. You are past that, I would really call for an appointment.
-
congrats to you!

It will go great. A lot of doctors don't put a lot of fill in the first time to let you get used to it. I had my second fill and right now, can't tell a big difference.
