BBK-Tell your boss that you try to keep your personal and professional life separate, so though it was nice of them to ask, you won't befriend your boss. Then go "suggest" that your co-worker learn to mind their own business (with some rude and crude words).

I bought a wii last year before they came out with the wii fit. I enjoyed playing tennis, but suffered major tennis elbow and quit playing. No one else touched it, so I sold it. I sure wish I hadn't. I plan to buy another one for my early birthday present. Let me know how you enjoy it.

Happy belated birthday!

Ha! Those gnomes visit my house often. They seem to visit my son's room and the den (where only my husband goes) quite often. They also spill coffee right under my husband's feet. Isn't it funny how they show up and yet NO one ever sees them?:tt2:

The gas pain, for me, didn't even start until day 5. It lasted off and on for about 3 days. The more I was able to walk, the less it hurt. I did have trouble sleeping only because I was a stomach sleeper. I slept in a chair for the first few days. After that, I slept on my side with a pillow under my stomach.
-
I can honestly say that I felt great after surgery. I took my pain medicine only to keep from having sudden pain. I was able to take plain liquid tylenol for pain after day three. The gas is the biggest issue. Walking was the only thing that helped. I had the gasx strips but they didn't do anything for me. Congrats on your upcoming surgery! Good luck! Keep us posted.

Just take 10 more days She.

Nope, you are not alone at all. I just wish that there was something to put on them to help with the itching. Nothing that I have tried helps.

I have purge fests about 4 times a year. I go through and get rid of anything that I haven't touched in at least a month. That would explain why I don't have any extra sizes in my closet. Once they stopped fitting, they had to go.

Your dad is Felix Unger, and my mom could be a "to be continued" episode of clean sweep, clean house, or how clean is your house. I kid you not. I honestly think my mom is a hoarder. She won't let go of anything. Instead of sorting and washing, she goes and buys new. It can be very scary at times because I always wonder if that is going to be me at her age.

I almost snorted my water through my nose.:tt2:

That is awful. I know your daughter was disappointed.:tt2: I won't mention the party to my son since he has been bugging me for 3 years to go back to Florida. He keeps asking is this going to be the year we go back. ha ha

You are a strong woman to have a house full of teenagers partying. Can my son have his birthday party at your house too? How did your daughter's driving test go?

Happy new year and hope 2009 will be a great year

Happy new year to you! Don't even think failure at this point. This is supposed to be a marathon. You are supposed to lose weight slowly. The holiday season is over so you should get rid of any that food around the house. Just start fresh. It took years for us to build our bad habits. Getting rid of them won't be overnight. Cut yourself some slack. Track your food. That does seem to help keep me honest with myself (even when I am screwing up). You have your diabeties under control. I think that is awesome! We have to celebrate those small victories. They add up. You are on the right path. We are all going to get swayed every once in a while. You are human. Just get up and dust yourself off. We have these bands for life. Continued success to you! -
My tummy itches too. I asked my doctor about it. They said the stitches that are under the skin are possibly still working their way out. He said that I may even see them. I thought it was odd being so far out and still itching. I thought I had an infection or something. They said that I don't. It isn't even all of my incision sites that itch. It is my port incision and the one to the right of it. I hope we both get relief soon.

Starting the holiday detox early, anyone wanna join me?

I broke my blender making a smoothie for my son. I guess it is time for me to spend the money for a magic bullet. I don't have a shaker, so I am going to have to get creative for my protein drink. I am glad to see so many recommitting to their band! This is going to be a great year! -
You know, they say insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. I'm just saying...:tt2:

I am right there with you. I try to keep focused on the fact that this is supposed to be slow, but it is very frustrating.:tt2: I had fill #3 on 12/19. I lost 4 pounds the week of the fill (only because I was on liquids) and nothing since:angry:. That is how it keeps happening. I lose the week of the fill and then fluctuate the same 3 or 4 pounds up and down. My doctor wants at least 2 weeks between fills. I called at the end of the 2 weeks to schedule a fill and it will end up being 4 weeks by the time I get the next one. I would like to feel good restriction at least once.
-
Hi everyone. I thought I would check in too. I am down about 36 pounds, but it is really slow coming off. I am going in for fill #4 on 1/19. I don't really have much restriction. I can only feel it if I eat something too dry too fast. Even then, it isn't painful. I just sits there. If I get up and move around a little, that will go down. I am able to eat entirely too much. I have only lost maybe 4 pounds since my fill in December. That is very frustrating. I know that weight loss should be slow, but I was not expecting this snail pace. I am also having issues with food choices. It makes it really hard when nothing really give me problems eating except bread. I haven't had bread in a long time. You would think just that would make me lose a ton of weight. I guess I can tell a difference in my weight because my mom bought me a size 18 dress, and it was too big! Yeah! It was a great feeling, but when the scale refuses to move... Thanks for letting me vent. It is really good to see you all doing so well.
-
Hi. Congrats on your surgery and weight loss. I will tell you that restriction can take time. I am currently on my 3rd fill. Other than having to slow down when I eat, I don't really feel it. I have about 4cc in a 10cc band. I go for fill number 4 1/19. Every doctor is different with fill as well as every patient will feel them differently. A lot of doctors are conservative with the fills to allow you time to adjust to eating the bandster way. Just take your time. Remember not to mindlessly eat in front of th TV or computer. That is usually when I experience getting stuck. Also, don't really try to compare yourself and your fills. Each person's body is different so it might take more or it might take less fill for some people to actually fill restriction. Good luck to all of you!

I recorded Leverage. I haven't watched it yet. I am going to watch it because SNT and LJM said it was good. luluc-you are not alone in the unorganized department. I am that way. I try to put things up, but it just never happens the same way trice. I wash clothes like my life depends on it, but I now have a couple of basked of clean clothes that I just refuse to fold and put away. I keep waiting the cleaning fairies or the gnomes to come out at night and do some work. So far, it isn't happening.
-
LJM-sending lots of hugs and good thoughts your way. {{{{hugs}}}
-
It sounds plausible.
-
Although I don't want to be so restricted that I can't drink, it would be nice to feel some real restriction. I still don't have that. I am going in for a 4th fill on the 19th.

Great job! Infinite. I said a prayer for you and all of the driving public. I was going to mention that book as well. You beat me to it. w00t
