Were is all my Chattanoogians at?

She mentioned doing some things when we were getting my paperwork together to submit to insurance.

It's funny that you mentioned the insurance fraud. I wondered about that myself. I guess we all had our little run ins with her that made you wonder how she worked for such a large practice.
  3. My email notification stopped working sometime yesterday afternoon.:grouphug: I am pretty sure that I am not alone.

    slimfast questions....

If you are going with the low carb slim fast or the optima, regular slim fast has too much sugar. Good luck in your event!

Question for BCBS of IL banders

I had 6 signed weight loss visit forms turned in for my visits. I only had 6 visits, BUT nothing in my paperwork actually specifically asked about whether I had been 7 times. My paperwork just showed 6 dates in 6 months. I have heard of others requiring that it be exactly 1 month between each visit, but it wasn't required for my paperwork. Or maybe it was just left up in the air for them to figure out whether I had been for six months? It wasn't lied about, but I guess it could have been left up to interpretation.
  6. I was thinking blood pressure too. I know that after I PB, my blood pressure seems to rise from the strain (I was eating potato too),and I can feel it. You are doing the right thing contacting your doctor about it.

Question for BCBS of IL banders

I have the BCBS of IL PPO and it took me about a week to get my approval. They accepted 6 consecutive visits with my PCP that had been done within the previous 24 months. I made sure that the paperwork from the doctor specified my weight/bmi and that we discussed my weight/exercise routine at each of those visits. I hope this helps! Good luck!

True, but there are elements of that game yesterday that were downright shameful.:tongue2:

    Getting Rid of Gas

The gas-x didn't really help me with the gas after surgery. Walking is the only thing that helped me. I have also heard of using a heating pad on your upper back. I hope you feel better soon.

I lost 17 pounds during the pre-op diet, and I only did it for 10 days.

Needless to say, my husband agrees with you on that one. I asked him if we still had to watch the Superbowl since the Titans weren't going to be in it. It was too funny. Not only are we watching it, he still plans to have his "party" just not for his boys.

They do have quite a bit of protein. After the third day, I couldn't drink 6 of them anymore. I ended up only doing 3 maybe 4 a day.

Yay! And the fact that it came from your DH makes it even better. I don't always see things myself, so it is always nice when a SO says something like that. Way to go! BBK-I hope you are feeling better today. LJM-I am glad that you got some sleep. SNT-you have gorgeous hair, but you should have gone shorter. I'm just saying... PJTP-My DH is so disappointed that his Titans lost yesterday. He is walking around the house pouting. I don't know how much more I can take of him talking about "his boys" as though he actually has some money invested in this team.

After about 12 loads of laundry washed, dried, and folded, my house is almost back to normal. Having a washing machine available is one of those comforts that I have taken for granted until I couldn't use it like I normally would. It did not take long to build up a lot of piled up laundry. I hope to never go through this again.

Glucerna is a meal replacement drink that Dr. Ponce uses for the preop diet.

I don't know, but I would love to get my program fee back. Even if it was just half.

Ok, why can't we turn off the internal clock on the weekends? I have been up since before 5. That would be great on the days I work, but I should be able to sleep in on the weekend.***stomping foot like a petulant child***

You know, depending on how many you think you can drink, I found them cheaper at Sam's. I paid $26 for a case of the glucerna.

I really hated the vanilla. It had then awful smell that made it impossible to get it to my mouth. I ended up using the chocolate.

    pre op diet necessary?

I am sure BMI plays a part in deciding if you have to do a pre-op diet. As long as your doctor said you don't have to have one, then you are ok. I am not sure the exact guidelines. I will say this, if a doctor tells someone to follow a specific pre-op diet, it is to their advantage to follow it to the letter. The diet is done to shrink the liver to make it safer to move during surgery. There have been some that didn't follow their prescribed diet and woke up without their band. I know that doesn't apply to you since you have been told you didn't need one, but that is for any others that may read this who are required to do one.

Wow, that is strange. I would think that since they sent you the check that they couldn't really come back and say that you owe it. Of course, just because it wouldn't be right, doesn't mean that they won't do it. Are you going to call and ask, or just wait. I don't know if I could hold on to that much money without spending it.

LJM-Having spent two weeks in the hospital on bed rest waiting to deliver, I can COMPLETELY understand the eyeroll. I hope your time in the hospital is not TOO unpleasant. I know you won't get any rest since they wake you up at the most awful hours to check vitals and everything. I am sending good vibes your way.

I'm just glad that you got your check. I know that I never actually complained to them about her, but I am sure that some people may have. Then again, maybe she just got a better job. Who knows?
