Yes, thank you. I won't go! I won't go! ***pounding fists on the ground in an obvious tantrum*** Did they let out of school just for cold when you were growing up? I know we went to school in the snow when I was a kid (mind you, it wasn't a LOT of snow).
-
tap-Amen to that! PJTP-we have no snow, it's 12 degrees, but they closed the schools. I have never heard of closing school because it's too cold to go. Does this mean I can call in to work because it's cold?
-
luluc-I'm glad they caught your infection in time. I hope you feel better soon. Bless your heart-is in an insult in my neck of the woods. Ceradad-I will not complain (on here) about it being 23 degrees right now. You have me beat. Did anyone else notice that granny basically did a drive-by on both this thread and her own? I'm just saying...

I doubt it. I got 2.2 cc in the first adjustment. I know that because at my 2nd adjustment, Dr. Ponce told me that he was adding 1 cc to give me a total of 3.2 cc. I think I am close to good restriction, just not close enough to wait it out. I am terrified that I am going to start gaining weight because I am so hungry.
-
It's hard to know if there is a default because they don't really like to tell you how much they put in. Dr. Ponce told me once (during my 2nd fill) how much he was putting in there, but I don't have a clue how much is in there now. I know that you are self pay for your surgery, but do you think your insurance might pay for the fills?
-
I have had 3 fills. I go for number 4 on Monday.
-
It's not consistent just yet. I fluctuate quite a bit right now. I am still working on getting good restriction. I am going back on Monday to get another adjustment. I haven't gotten to the point where only a cup of food keeps me satisfied. Right now, I seem to lose the most weight the week after an adjustment. After that, I fluctuate the same 3 or 4 pounds.

You are going to do great. You are going in with quite a bit of knowledge which makes such a big difference. I had the same thing happen to me with the glucerna. There was just now way that I could drink 6. I bought several cases of it thinking I would drink it all. I gave away 2 cases and threw away the vanilla case.

I have laughed so hard today! My goodness, I needed that laugh so badly. The poop thread was hilarious! I enjoyed everyone's reply to granny, both here and on her thread. Priceless!
-
OMG! You guys are so funny! ROFLMAO
-
I agree with Carrie. I didn't care which band I got. I actually tossed a coin to pick. I didn't know I was given a choice until the pre-op class. Way to go on the 3 pounds so far. You are on your way!

ROFLMAO:lol:

Good idea, but PLEASE don't share.

Leslie2Lose-she may have been trying to give you all a show. Good morning everyone!

How awesome! WTG!

I can't wear any of my rings properly, and my shoes are loose. I don't think I can actually go down in shoes size (yet), but they are no longer tight. It is funny to me because I always thought my feet were slim, now they are narrow with a fat body on top.

I have to admit that I don't respond to any of those posts about eating. They never really want someone to tell them about the damage they may have done. They just want the rah rah section to sound off on it. I usually will go read them only if you all post a link to it here. Otherwise, I skip the one that even SOUND like the have done something as scary as eating 2 days out. I hate snow and cold weather. I am a fair weather person. I have gotten worse now since I seem to be colder than ever.
-
I like the first answer better. It "fits" you more. ha ha I can see the Jedi master coming out of you. SNT-I am glad you are calling the doctor. You do sound just a little too tight. Of course, having never actually experienced this(restriction), I am simply going on how uncomfortable that sounds.
-
plain-where do you get the ideas for the avatars?
-
It's funny that you mention that. If it were just me and DS in the house, I could get away with buying nothing but band friendly foods. He only eats junk when he is with DH. DH refuses to eat even remotely healthy. I have to buy chips and cake. Thankfully, I wasn't a big chip eater before, but cookies and ice cream are evil! I try to "forget" to buy them.

I don't mind you asking at all. My counselor does specialize in eating disorders. I looked in the yellow pages and found several that specialized in eating disorders.
-
I am not sure if my paranoia is healthy or not. I get up everyday and see that I am not skinny. I keep hoping that I am going to wake up and drop 10 pounds (I know, but I can dream).
-
That's my fear. I don't want to be this size or bigger in 2 years. I am working hard to change my habits. I have been working with a counselor. It is hard stuff.
-
That's exactly what I'm talking about. You get them to basically remake your digestive tract only to keep doing the same things. I know that it is easy to slip. I am not throwing stones, but that is very disheartening to see. I am praying that isn't me in a few years. I know that I have that possibility, but I REALLY hope that isn't me.

LJM-I'm glad the bed rest is working. I would love to shave my head. I don't have the b*lls to do it. My DH would shoot me on sight if I did. I had a hard time eating a footlong sub before banding, I can't imagine doing it now. There is a new show called Diet Tribe or something like that. One of the women on the "diet" is a previous bypass patient who now weighs almost 300. I can't imagine going through that surgery to gain that much weight. I'm just saying...
