down 40 pounds this week, and no longer morbidly obese!
-
Well, I had my 4th fill this week. I think I am now actually feeling restriction. I am still able to eat, but not that much. I had maybe half a cup of tuna salad and was stuffed. That was such an odd sensation. I hope everyone else is doing well.
-
My doctor required the first three to be 4 weeks apart. After that, I can schedule one anytime I need to. They still reserve the right to say that I don't need one. I actually heard them tell a lady that she didn't need one because her weight loss was pretty steady. The fills are always done under fluro in my doctor's office.

I told her I was scared to be too tight. She made sure that I could almost swig the water before she took the needle out. I was really glad that she did my fill this time. I can really tell a difference from the last fill where I didn't really tell much difference at all. She told me that she was just bumping it up a little. She said that she was putting however much was put in the last time. However much that was, it seems (for now) to be right. I can only hope that it doesn't all of a sudden get too tight.

She did. I think I might have restriction now. At least for the moment. I ate about half a cup of tuna salad this morning and was stuffed. I am noticing now that I do have to slow down to eat. I tried to eat a pear this morning and was eating it too fast. I actually felt it backing up into my throat. Thankfully, I hadn't taken another bite. I got and walked around until it went down.

I went for my fill on Monday. I wanted to ask so bad what happened with Johnna. I figured that Brooke was doing insurance. She was sitting there doing some type of paperwork when I got there. Whatever it was, it put her behind. My appointment was for 1, but I didn't get my fill until almost 2. By that time, there was 4 or 5 of us waiting. Hey Downsdc, I know that you will do great with your surgery. Let us know how you are. I will be sending good thoughts your way.

I was approved with BCBS-Il with a 6 months plan that had been done in 2006, but my plan didn't really specify whether it had to be 6 months straight. I was lucky enough to have seen my doctor at least once in each of those 6 months so I didn't have to find out. You might want to call and ask about it. I am wishing you the best, and that you get a quick approval.

It really does. I am on cloud 9.

Thanks. I hadn't even thought of it that way. That makes it even better! I am sending good thoughts your way. Keep us posted as you can.

congrats! That is still 30 pounds gone forever! PJTP-My doctor cut my blood pressure medicine in half today!

Hi! It's nice to "meet" you. I look forward to getting to know you too. Did you have your surgery done in Chattanooga? Congrats on your weight loss so far!

My doctor always uses fluro for fills. I will admit that they only used it to find my port once, but always uses it to do the actual fill.
-
You stole what I was going to write! I think you must have a peep hole in my bathroom or something because that is what I do! I have a digital body fat scale, and I will weigh myself 2 or 3 times in a row because it will sometimes change by an ounce or two!

I just had my 4th fill, and I THINK I might finally have restriction. I didn't feel anything on the 1st or 2nd. Also, it can take a few days before you actually feel the fill. You might want to give it a few days. My doctor's office said it can actually take up to 2 weeks for a fill to kick in. Since this is your first fill, give yourself time to get used to even just a little restriction. I know that you are feeling hungry, but I bet you have restriction that you didn't have before. I remember that I could eat as much as before, but did end up having a stuck episode on rice because I was eating too fast. Take your time, and good luck to you.

Hello. I am in Hamilton county in east TN. After 4 fills, I think I finally have restriction. It's nice to see other TN people getting banded and getting healthy. Good luck to both of you!

quarks (similar to crocks but much lighter weight) are my shoes of choice. I live in them (even now in the winter).
-
The family and friends are the ones that put them up to it.
-
Now I am going to hear that the next time I wear them. That is SO going to ruin the mood.
-
Hey, I never said I didn't wear them. I just said they never leave the house. :w00t:

I reuse those containers and also the plastic containers that you get with soup from the Chinese place. My DH is notorious about losing containers. I refuse to spend a lot of money on a container just so he can forget to bring it back home. -
I have the heel pads in a pair of shoes that NEVER get worn outside of the house. They do work quite well.

Hi. I am also insulin resistant with PCOS. I have lost almost 40 pounds since the middle of September (including pre-op). I would say that it hasn't slowed my weight loss. Of course, the weight isn't coming off as fast I want it to (I want it gone yesterday, lol), but it is on par with what we have been told it should be. Good luck to you!
