Ok, so I noticed it too. Let see if I make it to 667.

Hell yeah! As long as you chew it really well and wash it down with a couple two liter diet cokes, it will all be fine. I did it and all was A-O-K.:rose:

I hope that you feel better soon.

I don't have stomach flu, but just shoot me now. I have some kind of crud. This is day two. Yesterday my head felt like it was full of cotton. Today I have added sneezing, a sore throat, and stuffy nose to the cotton filled head. I just feel like crap right now. I apologize right now, but I just felt like whining for a moment.

How was your fill? Did Brooke do it? How are you feeling?

That was strange. I hope for you that it doesn't happen again. Ebony-good luck with the fill. Hopefully, it will build enough on the last one to help with the hunger.

Introducing myself and have a few ?'s:

To sort of answer your question about fills, you really need to start checking with the doctors in your area to find out if they will accept patients banded by someone else. Some doctors will, but they may require a lot from you (money wise or medical records). It is best to find that information out now before banding. You may also find out if there are fill centers in your area. I know that isn't specific, but each doctor's office handles that situation differently. As far as your BMI, most doctors and insurance only count your BMI at the start. So if your BMI was 38 at your consult, that is usually the BMI used for insurance purposes, but to find out for sure, ask your doctor's office. Good luck to you! -
Thanks. I had been eating junk food too. Cheetos were killing me. I stopped buying the kind that I was eating (jalapeno cheddar). I have eaten so much baked fish lately that I should be growing gills. I ordered an exercise bike in hopes of jump starting my exercise too. I know that fills alone are not going to do it, but I still want to be able to use this band for all it's worth. I figure if the point of the band was to help me not eat as much, then I need to get to that point.

That's just it. I can eat most mornings. By the afternoon, I am ravenous. I can eat a lot more than I think I should be able to. I am trying to make sure that I slow down. I don't know how much that plays into how much I am eating. They called me and scheduled my fill for March 3rd. I have time to see if I really need it or not. You hear about people eating a few bites and getting full. I don't have that at all. I also haven't lost any weight since the week of my last fill in January. It was also that time of the month when I had my last fill, so I wonder if that is the reason that I had restriction that first week and then lost it. Either way, I am documenting all of my food and when I eat it. I am going to take that with me to see if there is something else that I am doing or not doing to sabotage myself.

You are doing so great! Wow! A size 8? I haven't seen that size since college! You go girl!

yay!

Yay you on your weight loss! I think that we all should Celebrate our victories. We have come so far. Congrats to us all!

I'm glad that you were able to get some relief. I hope your stomach settles soon. I am so sorry that you have had to suffer for so long though. They are supposed to call me today to schedule a fill. I haven't decided if I really want to do that. I bought a notebook today to start writing down when I am eating and when I get hungry again. I am trying to figure out if I really need a fill, or if I am just not being satisfied with my weight loss. I have times that I feel restriction and others that I feel like I could eat a horse. Good luck on your fill Carrie!

Mac-I like your new avi. I love your bike. When I grow up, I want a bike just like yours. ) I did order myself an exercise bike to get me started. I am not an outdoor person, but I remember loving bike riding as a kid. I am hoping the love comes back to me because I am not exercising as much as I need to be to get more of this weight off.

I have BCBSIL and my appointments were with my PCP. They were never about my weight. They were about something else, but my weight was always discussed. That information, which included my diet plan and exercise plan, was sent in with my information from my surgeon's office. They were six months in a row.

It sounds like everyone had a really nice valentine's day (even Donna with the busted lip:wink2:). We include my son in whatever we are doing, but since I had to work and be on call, that wasn't much. I cooked them breakfast before I left for work. They fixed my dinner and gave me candy (dark chocolate that I hate). It really is a good thing that they gave me candy that I don't like because I would have eaten it all. All in all, it was still a good day. They did all of the things I wanted done without me asking (thank goodness for holidays). I hope that everyone is having a pleasant Sunday.

I completely understand. If you think about it, part of the reason we all got to be the way we were was not being selfish and taking care of ourselves. You deserve to be a little selfish right now. I don't think there is anything wrong with your excitement about your weightloss. Keep up the good work and you will look awesome in those wedding photos!

Have a safe and relaxing trip. You deserve it.

Pam-at this point, I don't think you have any choice but to have all of the fluid removed. Fourteen pounds in 4 days is awful. I am so sorry that you are still feeling bad. If you are only able to have ice chips, I hope that you are staying hydrated enough. I seriously doubt it though. Don't try to tough it out. If you have to, go to the ER. Keep me posted.

Punkster-you are most welcome. Pam-How are you? Has the vomiting stopped?

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! What a freaking day to have to work.

Good luck Fanny!

I laughed at the lemon merrangue joke and the 4 pack abs. You are funny! I am glad that they took some out, but if you are still throwing up, you make sure to take it easy. I hope that you get to feeling better soon. Don't let yourself get dehydrated. I also work for a company that thinks health issues are behavior issues. We aren't supposed to get sick. Oh well, such is the way of life now. Get better soon!

Good vibes, prayers, and thoughts coming your way. I am so sorry that so many people are going through such difficult situations right now. Whether it is personal or professional, I am hoping we can all come through stronger, wiser and better for it.
