  1. I spoke too soon. This page came up when I clicked from the email, but when I went to my subscribed threads and chose one, it would not load.

Kat-I am glad to hear that DD is home and doing much better. I cannot imagine what you all have gone through, but I am glad that the prognosis is much better than what you had originally been told. I'll be thinking of you and your family.

Don't get down on yourself. We all want the weight gone now. We just have to remember that this is for life. This is a marathon, so it isn't how fast you get there, just that you get there. Be proud of your twenty pounds. Each day is a new day to start again. Just don't give up. You are worth it every step in the right direction.:hurray:

Debbie, you have every right to be proud of what you have done. Don't let your sister-in-law diminish what you have done. You are shining brighter, and like the previous poster said, you will be even healthier and lighter while she will have gained that weight back later. Don't be down. You can preen all you want. You have worked really hard to get where you are, and you really deserve a lot of praise for it. You are fighting to get your health back. That is no small feat.
  5. I hadn't heard about that. It is just so awful that she continues to deny what happened
  6. If she bought it online, you would think they would be able to find that info on the computer's hard drive (even if it meant taking every computer from her family and friends homes). The proof of what she did is out there. She doesn't seem smart enough to cover her tracks that well.

    September Bandster Check-in

I understand what you are talking about Debbie. I put mustard on my lunch meat rolls. I tried some fairly well done beef. I WON'T be doing that again. I have never chewed so much in my life. The beef did not want to go down. I gave up and just ate the salad. I am not really all that tight, so not being able to eat the beef was odd. I can do steak if it is cooked right. I guess we are all on a learning curve.

No, not a gay man. I was hinting that I am the queen of this castle instead of him being the king.

I don't know what is going on with my Internet, but I had to resort to my iPhone just to read the posts since I have been home. Thank goodness for unlimited internet. I noticed that I haven't seen posts from a certain person on the octotwat thread. Do u think they are gone?

Welcome! I am going to try chicken thighs. I had tried a similar recipe with chicken breast (wrong thing to do). It tasted very good, but breast meat doesn't absorb any of the moisture from the salsa. Anyway, I am glad that you found us too. It is really nice to be in contact with people that were banded at around the same time.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

I was standing in the checkout line at the grocery store, and she was on the cover of at least 3 of the tabloids mags. I have to say, her smile looked more like the Joker (Jack's version not Heath's). It was something about the way her smiled looked. ***shuddering*** It really creeped me out. The Duggar's were on Larry King and they (the host) asked them about her. Even they sounded as though they were astounded.

Like Donna, I claim 5ft 2, but I am really about 5ft 1.5 (according to the doctor when trying to determine my BMI). My mom is about 4ft 10. My dad was about 5ft 7. I am sure you can see where I am going with this. I am praying that my son takes after his dad.

LOL. Unfortunately, we are still trying to fight over who is queen (hint hint) of my house.:sneaky:
  15. Yeah, you have to think that with Casey's dad being a cop, that his gut had already told him the deal. I have to think that was part of the reason for his mental break down with the suicide notes and stuff. The mother is just plain in denial. I think she is only seeing what she wants to see about Casey. She doesn't want to believe that she raised a killer.

Ok, I am just glad to know that I wasn't the only one having trouble getting on here yesterday. I thought maybe my internet service was being screwy. I have to say that I am a fellow ankle biter. I have no problems going toe-to-toe with my 6ft 4in husband, but typing it just isn't the same.

This will be my 5th fill.

Were is all my Chattanoogians at?

According to my last sheet that they give you, I have lost 9 pounds. I know I lost 5 of those pounds the week of my fill, but the rest I lost this week (I know I will gain this weeks back because I have been sick).

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

I read somewhere that TLC has contacted her for a show. WTF? So now you get rewarded for stupidity and selfishness? I wish I had known this long ago. Instead I have worked my butt off to get what I have. I should have filed for disability and had 14 kids out of wedlock to do it the easy way like she did.

Were is all my Chattanoogians at?

Carrie-Do you know if GBI will refuse a fill if you have lost over a certain amount of weight since the last fill? I am scheduled for a fill on 03/03, but my weight has finally decided to move.

I was just about to ask the same question.
  22. IMO, grandma doesn't want to face the possibility that she raised such a selfish daughter that would harm her child (even if by accident) in order to party without interuption. I do think the death was probably an accident, but that doesn't negate the fact that she was willing to do harm (even if only to knock her out while she partied) to her child. How does a parent decide to do something so evil to a child?
  23. There are a lot of secrets. Many that we will never know the true extent of. It is really sad. I agree with luluc, my mom will turn me in too. Heck, she may find some large parcel of land to just dispose of me.
  24. Exactly! If she knew her child was missing (as she claims at that point), why was she out partying instead of looking for her child? I can't understand that. My son's bus was late the very first time he ever road a school bus. I was frantic. I was calling everyone I could think of. The school. The company that runs that buses. I had my coworkers calling. I had the guard outside looking for him. How could she party? That, IMO, shows that she had no compassion for her child and "seems" to show that she knew where her child was the whole time. I know that unless she confesses, only God and whoever witnessed, knows for sure.
