I would not suffer through. The longer you wait, the more irritated your stomach will be. The more irritated, the more swollen you are going to be. I would call and have some removed if you are not better by Monday. I would also stick to warm liquids since they will help relax your stoma to allow things through. I hope you feel better soon

Do you really have to only take "dime size" bites?
*slim* replied to KMCD's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Exactly what RestlesMonkey said. Once you have good restriction, unless you want to live in pain or over the toilet(if you PB), your bites will be small in order for you to get them down. It does take some getting used to, but as you get more restriction, it gets to be habit. My biggest problem is usually the first bite (first bite syndrome) when I am too hungry. It can be quite uncomfortable. Just take your time. Good luck! -
Each person is different when it comes to problem foods. In truth, I don't really have any foods that I cannot eat if I take my time. Also, at 6 weeks, you may not actually have any restriction unless you have an aggressive doctor. I am six months out only just now really getting good restriction. Just take your time with anything that you try to eat and chew the heck out of it. Good luck!

You amaze me. I wish that I had your drive to get everything done. Do you want to come and tackle my laundry mountain?
-
You are so good. I have been home all week long, and I haven't washed the first load of clothes. I have been completeley lazy. Blueberries....

I was going to mention that, but I don't think I have tennis balls. It is more like a larger golf ball.

Where did you find the keylogger program?
-
Exactly. It sounded so fake.

SNT-The girl I knew would be either 36 or 37. The complexion and height are the same. I used to live next door to a girl named Cheria as a kid. It could just be big coincedence. Either way, I hope she is better soon.

I too am becoming a member of the saggy boob club. I now have two tube socks where my breasts used to be. My husband (a breast man) has been sadly disappointed in this part of my weight loss.

No sex that you are telling about anyway...

Her call was off the wall. I don't know if it is because of my prejudice against her for her other actions, but she didn't really sound worried about the child at all. That call really did seem all about her (attention grabbing). I don't know.

I did actually send a PM to Susan this morning after reading the post from Ken. She hadn't answered me. I have to agree that he could have identified himself as someone working with Alex. It would have helped (although I probably still wouldn't have provided my IP... just saying).
-
Exactly! I cannot fathom how they could possibly grow up to be healthy minded individuals if they only have her to nurture them.

:tt1: I had to laugh at this one. It reminded me of a time several years ago. I didn't have a cell phone. I forwarded my calls to my mom's house while I was there. I forgot to unforward them. When she couldn't reach me at home (it kept going back to her house), she called the police! At 2 in the morning, I had the police at my door! When I answered, the policeman asked me to PLEASE call my mom because she was worried! How embarrassing!

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome...anyone?!? [HELP]
*slim* replied to StephOnee's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have PCOS, but I am beyond child bearing. Losing the weight has helped me with my PCOS symptoms. I no longer have to take metforming for insulin resistance. I have a normal A1C score now. I haven't had my hormone levels checked yet, but the body hair has slowed. PCOS was used in helping to determine if I was eligible for surgery. Good luck to you whatever you decide! -
What everyone else has said is so true. I had my 5th fill this month to finally get good restriction. Each fill will build on the previous. It does take some time. I gained and lost the same 5 pounds for quite a while between fills. It will come. Good luck!

LapBandTalk.com is Moving!
*slim* replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
Thanks for posting this. Thankfully, I think my situation is resolved (at least for now). -
I couldn't get on here for a little while. I could get to other websites so I figure this was down for a bit.
-
I guess that is why I don't get it. I haven't wanted to talk to the people from high school when I see them in the store so why bother to have them look me up on facebook? I created a facebook account once. I deleted it soon after.

Could Someone Explain "Sweet Spot"
*slim* replied to jetsy62's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The sweet spot is different for everyone. Basically, when you reach the sweet spot, you should be satisfied on much less food (1/2 cup to 1 cup of food). You should also stay satisfied for 4-5 hours. Considering how much you were able to eat, I would for sure say that you are not there. A lot of doctors are conservative to allow you to slowly get used to eating the bandster way. My doctor was this way. Until you hit that spot, you are going to gave to try really hard to control your own eating. See if your doctor will schedule another fill. Also, discuss it with your doctor how much you are able to eat. After my last fill (my fifth), I was finally able to understand what people are talking about. I don't know if I am at the sweet spot, but I do finally have restriction. Call you doctor and talk to him. That is what he gets the big bucks for. Good luck!
