I hope he is able to tell you something. I am sure that you can express it just fine. Good luck!

PJTP-I have my official 6 month follow up today (it's late). I will see what I have officially lost (or gained) since my last fill. Wish me luck!

There is a thread under food and nutrition for the food stages. As far as eating any of those foods, that is up to you, your band, and your expectations for losing weight. Good luck to you.

He didn't miss out. My family always gives him so much stuff on days like this. Even though our family is huge, my aunts (I have 3 living) all treat him like he is their grandson. He came home with a crap load of candy and eggs.

Happy Easter to you too! DS is with my mother. He decided that he is "too old" for a basket this year. He is growing facial hair (peach fuzz) so that makes him too old for such things. Yeah right. He ruined my fun with the eggs and such. Oh well. He will miss this days (just like me). I keep trying to tell him not to grow up too fast. Adulthood and all its problems will happen soon enough. I wouldn't have listened at his age so I don't expect him to. Have a happy day everyone!

You do sound like you are doing great! The walking is the key to getting rid of the gas pain. And I agree with Carrie, the largest incision is where the port is.

Amen sister!

You are most welcome! I am so glad that I get to be there for you the way you have been there for me! Talk to you soon! Let me know what happens with the insurance.

It's good to know that I am not crazy (or alone) with the self image issues. Ceradad, I am so glad that you no longer have man breasts. I am just going to have to hope that DH can deal with scooping my tube sock breasts off my lap.:cool2:

You aren't crazy. The feeling in your throat is where I feel it when I am eating too fast or the bite was just a little too big. It is worse in the mornings. My doctor said that is because the esophagus (sp?) is a muscle that has to warm up just like any other muscle. So first thing in the morning, it will be more difficult to get your solids down. What he recommends is starting the day with a warm drink to help losen everything up. I do that every morning. By about 9 (my first break at work), I am ready to have my Breakfast (it's really more of a snack). PB is basically throwing up in your mouth. The gurgle, blub feeling takes some getting use to. When I feel that, it just reminds me to slow down and make that next bite smaller. I am so sorry that you are going through so much with your insurance. Insurance is supposed to be there to help, but it always seems to cause so much trouble. I hope everything turns out ok with that situation. I have been bragging on you. Several people have commented on your words that I quoted in my signature. You are touching more lives every day the way that you have touched mine! Everything will be fine with this fill. Just remember to take it slow. It will losen over the next few days and you will wonder where that restriction went. Stay blessed!

Happy Easter to you too!

I so understand! The pictures help me see the difference, but they also make me wonder wtf I was thinking when I didn't think I looked so bad! DH takes pictures of me now and tells me that I am going to like the pictures. The pictures don't look anything like I think I should look. DH even had the nerve to ask if I was about done losing weight. WTH? I still have 50 pounds to go just to get to where I was right after having my son! I am smaller than I have been in over 10 years, yet I look (to myself) what I obviously was looking like before I lost weight. Talk about skewed self image. All right! That is great! Have fun doing the eggs!

 Thank you. I was feeling rather melancholy there for a moment. That laugh is exactly what I needed.

PJTP-Why couldn't I see myself as huge as I actually got that way, but now that I am losing, all I see is the huge person staring back at me? I know that I have lost weight. My clothes size says I have lost weight. Heck, people that I know say that I have lost an enormous amount of weight (I knew I was big, but they make me out to sound like I was an elephant), yet I can't look at myself and see it?
-
That's not silly. That is great! I don't know why traffic always stops there. It is craziness! I am glad to see you on here. I was concerned about you with the storms yesterday. Sorry that your dad is having insurance issues after everything else. Morning all!
-
Exactly. I have to remind myself that this isn't a diet. This is for life.

Thanks. She said that to me in our month/year forum. I told her that i was going to use it in my signature for just that reason. I made sure to acknowledge where I got it from. That all sounds sooooo good. Thanks. You mean I might actually end up with perky! I have NEVER had perky boobs! I am working on having the double longs as we speak!

That is awesome Debbie! I am glad that you had a good experience. I have been lucky with my doctor, but he is still not as aggressive as I would like. I thought I had it with this last fill, but I am loosening up. I can tell that I am eating more than I was a month ago. Either way, you are doing such a wonderful job! Keep being my inspiration. I am less that 2 pounds away from onderland! I think reading your posts has helped me stay motivated. It doesn't matter that you don't post often. When you do post, you always say the right thing in the right way. You rock!

Most Painfull Period EVER! TMI probably...
*slim* replied to IWannaBeSkinny's topic in The Gals' Room
My understanding is the fat cells hold quite a bit of estrogen that is released as you lose weight. You can expect them to be different for a while. I didn't have one for 3 months then when it showed up, I had my cycle for a month straight. I am only just now seeming to get back to "normal" after 6 months. Hopefully you won't have any more very painful cycles, but it will most likely be different. -
That sounds so good. I will try that next week. B-special k protein bar, pepper cheese stick, coffee w/splenda L-slim fast low carb, pepper cheese stick D-peppered beef jerky, 1/2 cucumber

This is what I use when I trying to calculate a recipe. Nutrition facts, calories in food, labels, nutritional information and analysis – NutritionData.com It lets you input the ingredients along with the amounts. Then it calculates the data for you.

I am glad everything went well. I am so there. Congrats on your C! Woohoo! We will keep praying. The drink sounds good. How did the dunk go?

Just give your doctor a call. Tell him/her what you ate. They may say that thinned mashed potatoes are ok. Otherwise, I wouldn't eat anything that wasn't on their ok list, unless they (the doctor) said it was ok. Good luck.
