  1. My insurance is being charged something like $450 for my fills. They don't pay that much, of course. I have a $20 copay. Self-pay people pay $125 or something close to that for their fills.
  2. My doctor does all of his fills under fluro as well. It's not an option. Thankfully, my insurance pays all but my normal copay.

Were is all my Chattanoogians at?

That is usually the case with me. I don't know if it is just swelling that I am feeling right now or what.

It's going to work out, Ebony. I am praying, chanting, crossing fingers and toes (no nekkid dancing for fear of ruining the good vibes).

Ok, so I couldn't feel a difference when drinking anything. I decided that I was too hungry. I got out a cup of yogurt. It is going down ok, but I can definately feel it. I actually feel almost full and I haven't finished the 6oz cup.

Thanks for that info Carrie. I hope that it turns out to not be so painful for him. I actually have an appointment for myself next week with the same doctor. I am thinking about getting braces along my bottom teeth. My bite changed after using a full face CPAP mask for several years. I may not go through with it for myself, but my son has an adult tooth that there isn't enough room for it to come in. Unfortunately, he started getting his adult teeth very early, so we expected him to have to get braces.

Thanks Carrie. Did it hurt on the first day of having the braces? We have heard that it hurts pretty badly, but then had someone else say that it didn't hurt at al.

Hi She! Tap, I am glad that you had a PB free night. Maybe your tummy just needed a bit of a rest. It seems they are bound and determined to make us Facebook. I have coworkers and family that Facebook. I am not sure I want to mingle my lapband life with them.

My fill was pretty uneventful. Dr. Ponce did it. It didn't hurt as much as normal. I can't really say that I felt much of a difference. I didn't feel the barium backing up or even feel the water slowing down. I don't know. I guess I will give it some time. I did liquids yesterday. I wasn't really hungry after the fill, but was starving last night. I drank some hot v8 juice to satisfy my need for something savory. So do you think you are going to a little more fill taken out? I knew you had been eating a lot of fish lately, but I didn't realize it was because you were having trouble getting other protein down. Dr. Ponce's first question is always whether or not I can eat chicken. I had to tell him that I could eat chicken, bread, pasta... He told me to make sure to take my time after this fill and to make sure I call if I can't get solids down. I told him I would be sure to do that. I have listened to the misery that you and Carrie have gone through. First sign of trouble, I am calling (ok the next business day). I may not do solids until next week just in case. My son in getting braces today, and both of our nerves are shot. He is nervous and scared, and it is making me even more nervous and scared for him. I know that stress can make the band tighter so I am going to be careful. Punkster, have you checked into starting any rock climbing classes? Are they offered anywhere around here?

I think the "cheer" is done at all Wal-Mart stores. As a previous "associate", we did the "cheer" every opening morning (pre 24/7 days here).:wink2:

Susan-that is so sad to hear about your friend. Sending prayers and thoughts to you and your friend's family. Ebony-good luck on your 2nd interview! Tap-I am glad that you are feeling a little better. Don't wait too long if it starts to get worse again. G4E-I hope that your dealings with the disability people go well. Keep us posted CC-prayers to you and your mother. It was pretty quiet around here. That seems to be the norm here lately. I don't have a life and am living vicariously through you all, so let's pick up the pace with the posting.
  17. Thanks punkster. I will check that out. I haven't seen it on lifetime either. I watch lifetime a lot.

    Acid Reflux Question

You take care of yourself. You won't be any good to your mom if you are ill. Get the unfill. Maybe if you talk to you doctor's office about not wanting it all taken out, they won't do it. If you aren't vomiting, I would think it shouldn't be a big deal to leave most of your fill in place. My good friend is a nurse. I know what a blessing they can be. You take care.
  19. Is Cook Yourself Thin a cookbook or website?

    Acid Reflux Question

It could be combination of the fill and the stress. Some fills take as much as two weeks (per my doctor's office) to kick in. With the added stress of your mom's injury, you could be just a tad too tight for your stress level. You might try some type of OTC medicine for the reflux until things calm down, or you might get a slight unfill. I wish you the best, and a speedy recovery for your mom.

I competely understand Carrie. I haven't been on my exercise bike in a while. I have been walking at work, but not really enough to call it a true workout. I have got to do better.

Many prayers CC! Congrats G4E! I hope you had a great 1st day! Tap-take care of yourself. I know not being able to get anything down is nothing to play with (not that I know from personal experience thank goodness).

I am so ready for my fill tomorrow. I had actually gained some weight over the past few weeks. I have lost a few of the pounds back, but I have been really hungry lately. cmexlr8-I haven't really noticed any back problems other than the original gas pains right after surgery. I hope that you get to feeling better soon. punkster-are you at least feeling back to normal as far as your unfill?
