  1. I don't have any experience with them, but here is a link to their on line forum Lap-Band Weight Loss Surgery Forum | True Results Lap Band Surgery Forum | Lap Band Surgery Forum . You may be able to find some information there. Also, you may try in the doctors and hospitals sub-forum found on this site here Doctors and Hospitals - Lap Band Surgery and Lap Band Discussion Forum. You can either do a search or just re-post this thread there. I hope this helps.

Anthem Blue Cross approved in 2 days!!!

I am so happy for you! I am glad that you are off of the waiting for approval roller coaster! I am sorry that you have to wait, but January will be here before you know it.:grouphug:
  3. That is a question best answered by your doctor. I wouldn't eat any more solid food until you talk to him. Eating solid food makes your stomach churn which can cause the sutures in your stomach holding the band to tear.

I hate it when people post just to post.....

I finally did the ignore thing on them. I didn't even want to accidently go into one of them.
  5. See, that is what I am scared of. I am so afraid of getting stuck in public. My episode didn't last long, but it moved really quickly out. I would never have been able to make it to a bathroom at work that quickly. I would have spit up on myself or something equally as gross. I really want to learn to avoid it all together. I know that is wishful thinking on my part, but a girl can dream.
  6. Way to go!!! I am so happy for you!
  7. My nutritionist's office said to do that, but my doctor didn't. My doctor told me to just drink Water all day and to only eat when I was hungry. I think that would be tough for me too. Just take your time. I will say don't be discouraged about not losing anything so far. I have being so discouraged about that but didn't realize that I was losing inches in places. The weight loss on the liquid diet is really just the solid food from your colon and water weight. So after surgery, when you get to more solid food, you are actually losing real weight, but because you are also refilling your colon, you can't see it (that's how it was explained to me somewhere else). You are doing doing great nayray! Just keep taking slow, and keep following your doctor's orders. Oh yeah, I love the smashing samurai in your sig!
  8. I think that is what they want. I would only try this is I can't get it to go in the other direction. I hope, thought, to never have to use any of these.

    Weight loss tracker chart!!!!

That's the way I read it. You save a copy to your computer then enter your information over the other information in the first 7 columns. The excel program will then recalcuate using your information.

    First Fill

I truly understand where you are coming from with that. I don't even make it 2 hours. I may make it about 1.5 hours, but even that is pushing it. I try not to eat and just grab something to drink, but that just leaves me floating. I take BP medicine, but I am drinking so much Water that I am starting to retain water again. I am not sure what to do about that.
  14. How exactly do you do a downward facing dog?

    Weight loss tracker chart!!!!

Bumping this up to the top just in case any Samurai missed it.
  18. You are right about that. My doctor believes in that too, just not until you start on solid foods. I don't think, though, that I have seen the same instructions any where except where the people have the same doctor.
  19. That was answered in post #20. Click here http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f178/stop-dont-take-another-bite-79054/index2.html#post1037911

I am so with you there. I remember when I was pregnant and could wear a regular 16 instead of maternity clothes. That was 12 years ago. Now if I could actually get to the weight that I was at 6 months pregnant! I just THOUGHT I was huge! I know now that I didn't know what huge was. :Dancing_biggrin:
  21. I have to admit that I understand that. I was still loving food before this episode. I had been able to eat whatever I wanted. Now I am really scared to eat. I have forced myself to eat, but I would NEVER have thought the day would come that I would look at food and not want it. I took a bite of an apple and was so scared that I threw the rest of it away.

She you are beautiful! I am not brave enough to post a picture of myself. I look no where near as good as you guys. Well, except Plain...:tongue2:
  23. During this time, my doctor told me to eat as often as I needed to, but to make sure to flush the stoma after each meal. You should really call you doctor though to find out what he/she thinks.

    Facial Complexion

I am in the same boat as you are. I posted a thread somewhere else about it. Everyone pretty much said the same thing. We are not getting in enough good fat in our diet. Couple that with possibly not getting enough water, and you get really dry skin. I am to the point that my body is itchy because it is so dry.
