Looks like you posted on a busy day and no one saw your post. I have not yet been banded, but hopefully soon. I am looking forward to getting a band, why? Well, because I think this surgery is safer than the bypass, and each surgery has its post-op disadvantages and benefits. I chose lapband because: I can adjust the tightness and restriction that I will feel I dont have to worry about "dumping syndrom" with RNY I dont have to worry about becoming malnurished that comes with the other surgeries. I am a volume eater and with the band, you just cant do that. RNY patients have a high chance of never learning real honest to God portion control, so after a while, when the body does learn to re absorb food stuffs, if you stretched your RNY pouch, you will gain back. DS surgery just scares the heck out of me with re-routing. Bread and Pasta do seem to be a big problem with some people. for others, it seems to be a "how much are they restricted" thing. I dont think its so much you have to weigh and measure all of your food, well maybe at first. However, your body will tell you when to stop even if the 1 cup of food is left. Get with your Dr and see what he tells you and see if he can help you choose the right surgery that is for you. Cause yo-yo dieting is NOT good for you. Ever.

BTW Karen, did you stay overnight or when did you get to come home?

I, personally, like to give the McDonalds people bizzare amounts to pay with so that the change is something "even". Like what ever I get I give you 5 and some change so that I get $.75 cent back. Even if my total was like $4.33. It confuses them and I enjoy it. I use to work in a call center, so I would like it to be a law that when you call the call center to the bank or pc fix-it line that you realise: a. this is just a job for me b. no, i dont make policy, but I can be fired if i promise to give you $xx dollars back because you bounced a check and you didnt add and subtract right. c. NEVER cuss at me, for any reason, even if i am not moving fast enough for you or the computers or down or cause you bounced a check and didnt ad or subtract right. The punishments for such infractions is that I have a button on my phone that can shock the bejezzus out of your ear. On the flip side, If I call a call center and they dont know the policy, cant help me or hang up on me because the dont want to deal with my call, I have the same button.

I hope so!!! Dr B has all my paperwork and I was told my file is on his desk for review and once he signs off on it, the office sends it in to UHC. I hope its soon. The project I am on at the bank is heading in to overdrive and I need to know when my "vacation" will be. How's your stomach feeling?

Hey guys. Ok, the shrink's office called me this morning, they faxed the stuff to Dr B!!! HOOOORAAY! Oh and I am on the meds for the H Pylori. Oh MY GOD!!! can we say nasty!!!!??? I have this horrible aftertaste in my mouth and I have to take 4 pills in the am and 4 in the pm. Im gonna have a raging yeast infection from all the antibiotics. (TMI, yea.. but..) So anyone have any tips on preventing yeast infection from antibiotic overload?

Maybe by listening to God, I made the right choices and got a good job and the nice house and all of that material stuff. But far be it from me to say that someone who is poor has no faith and has not been listening to God. Its all about being comfortable where you excercise! Big gyms made me feel uncomfortable, like everyone is watching the fat chick struggle. I have made some good friends at Curves, so now I feel guilty when I dont go see my friends.
