Great job. I am close to my goal as well but will probably take me about 6 months to achieve. -
How many fills did it take for you to notice a difference?
yvettej4123 replied to krstjump03's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did not feel restriction until after my 3rd fill. However, it also depends on how many cc's you are getting at each visit. -
Sweet Spot or possibly too tight - that is the question
yvettej4123 replied to drtoliver's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am having the same problem as well. I got a filled on yesterday and am having problems with keeping liquids down. I am going to give it another day or two and if it does not subside then I am going to have a slight unfill. -

He is the doctor that performed my surgery. He and his staff were awesome! -
I cannot eat bread or boiled eggs. I am able to eat about a cup of food at the most of anything.

Although it is hard to be patient at a time that is so crucial, that is all that you can try to do. Stay positive and continue to focus on everything that you have learned to keep the weight off during your approval period. Good luck.

How many fills till your sweet spot???
yvettej4123 replied to karebare714's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am currently at my sweet spot as well. I had 7.1cc in a 10cc band on 1-2-09 but had to go back and have 2cc removed because I was unable to hold anything on my stomach. Now, I am able to eat 3/4 cups of food per serving. -
Wow...this is what it feels like to be restricted!
yvettej4123 replied to travelinsnorkel's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Restriction is something that we all look forward to but it is not easy to deal with. This is where all the discipline (chewing each bite slowly) comes in. I got a fill on 1-2-09 and was back in the office to have .2 cc removed because I could not keep anything down. Make sure that you are able to eat at least 3/4 cup of food so that you can get the required protein and nutrients for your body. -
Yes, I am cold as well. Sometimes I am unable to function because I am too cold to move. I was thinking more on the lines of anemia. Hopefully not but if you don't have the blood supply to warm the body then that may be a dead give away.

POLL - Whats your sweet spot in 10cc band?
yvettej4123 replied to bunnykin4u's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have a 10 cc band and have 6.8 cc. I feel restriction most of the times. I am able to eat descent sized meals every other day. Sometimes, I have difficulty getting the food down depending on what I have previously eaten. I have lost about 8 pounds since my last fill. -
How much weight did you lose in the first month?
yvettej4123 replied to Brandy~'s topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I lost 8 lbs in the first month. -
Hello, this is my first time posting. I was approved to be banded on September 4, 2008. I am so excited as I know that this is the first step to a better quality of life. :mad2:
