Is the gas pain really as bad?
klove13 replied to KRod6's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had gas pain and it was very uncomfortable. I was able to take chewable gas relief medication and it helped a lot. Walking/moving even in short bursts helped me drastically. I had surgery 08/29 and gas pain discomfort lasted for about a month. -
Have you tried medication to stop the nausea? Hopefully this will soon pass for you.

I’m losing a lot of hair even with eating a lot of protein, drinking a lot of water, and taking vitamins. I already was having issues with hair loss prior to surgery. I would honestly prefer balding than feeling like a prisoner in my body. I thought about cutting my hair, getting extensions, dying my hair - but I am using a bonnet at home with oils to moisturize my hair, no heat products, no hot water in shower, and trying volume mousse with cold air blow dryer if going out with husband. I need to remind myself not to brush my hair when wet as well.

Female, 5’5 and day of surgery I was 189.6 I got my surgery on 08/29. At my first appointment I weighed 220. I am currently 166.6 as of 10/07. I didn’t give myself a chance to recover because I was moving apartments(move out date 08/31). I had zero pain, only discomfort when the glue on incision was lifting. I think the pre-op diet and exercise routine helped tremendously for my recovery. I also eat a lot of chicken breast and protein. I did eat a cheese burger once during my menses because I was feeling constipated- it helped me the next day to be relieved. -
