  1. You don't know how much comfort i feel seeing this. Thank you
  2. I feel the exact same. I was on a 30 day pre-op diet and lost 18lbs. I was sleeved on 03/20 and have only lost 10lbs since surgery. I was cleared for exercise last week so i have been doing growwithjo youtube videos. I was stalled from 1 week post op until last week with no weight loss at all. I am also at stage 3 so i can eat soft foods, during the pureed stage which started 2 days post op i just ate canned food mashed with a fork because pureed texture disgust me. Let's all hope we reach our goals sending you all lots of love ❤️
  3. Hey all! So i got my vsg on Monday March 20th. The pain is a bit more than i thought, but its the gas pain. The only incision that hurts a bit is the one above my belly button, and to stand up or lay down is a bit of a struggle due to the muscle pain on my left side. C-section pain is way worse. But walking helps, and the meds. Drinking the fluids was a breeze, and currently on puree stage. Good luck to all xoxoxo!!
  4. My vsg is on 3/20, but my doctor requires a 30 day pre op diet so i started yesterday 2/20. For my last meal i wanted chinese buffet and planned it days ahead. Sooo worth it lol!
  5. I just wanted to post this since i haven't seen one with the requirements. I am getting VSG in March here in New York. My insurance is Healthfirst with Medicaid and they cover bariatric surgery with the 6 month process. I have no comorbities, only a bmi of 47. My surgeon only required a psych eval, 3 nutritionist visits by phone (oct, nov, dec) and an endoscopy which i did in Nov. Every month i also have to go for a weigh in at my primary doctor's office for the 6 months (Sept-Feb). February is month 6 of the process which is when everything will be sent to insurance for authorization for my surgery in March. Hope this helps!
  6. Me! I just got informed today its for March 20th. Good luck to all!
