I started drinking wine about 7 days post op. (That's a liquid, correct?) I know it has slowed my weight loss some. (I have lost 50 pounds in one year) However, I was not willing to give up wine. I enjoy one to two glasses a few times a week and have never had a problem with the band. I have also not experienced any difference in the effects of it pre and post surgery.

Hi! I am new to this site also. This is my first post. You said you had lost 30 lbs since 2005? Are you still losing weight? I got my band one year ago and I have lost 50 lbs but I still have 30 more to go. I worry that I will stop losing weight before that time. I just got a recent and it has helped me get started again.
