So loveies, week 1 post op down 7 lbs went in at 227 started my journey at 247 lbs. I find the post op liquid diet is frustrating just sipping fluids all day until go to sleep. It really does tale all day to get those fluids in. I belch alot not sure why. The past 2 mornings I've woken up extremely nauseous. Anyone else have/ had these issues. On a good note Dietician called scheduled appointment for next week to hopefully upgrade me to puree/ soft diet -

So, my surgery original date was scheduled for September 15th, 2022 for bypass. But unbeknownst to me found out i have condition called Situs Inversus, which is basically all my organ are on the opposite side of my body. My surgeon had not ever seen or yet had any experience with this and decided not to proceed with the Gastric Bypass. So i was closed back up and sent home ๐, and disappointed ๐. Last week my care coordinator sent me some referrals from Christiana Care in Delaware, PA, i live in North Carolina so just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with the providers at this facility and if they could help me with my awesome anatomy. I've done some research on 2 that interest me but there bio really doesn't go into detail ๐. So just trying t figure this out and hopefully not get disappointed and discouraged again thanks all
-
So follow up from my care coordinator relayed to me the provider in Delaware suggested that i find a surgeon closer to North Carolina, Raleigh were i live. That sucked. THAT WAS THE SURGEON THAT INFORMED ME THAT I HAD SITUS INVERSUS. He was in Pinehurst . So im back on the hunt again. ๐คช if anyone know a surgeon that will take SURGERY Plus Benefits it would be great thanks
-
Well a few weeks ago i posted about my unique anatomy,ย via havingย situs inversus,ย my care coordinator reached out to a provider in Delaware with no luck she recommends i look for a provider closer to home which is North Carolina . Uuugh so once agian im back to squre 1 anybody know bariatric surgeons in North Carolina,ย not in Pinehurst that takes Surgery Plus Benefits desperately looking thanks

September surgery buddies!!
Yearofme43 replied to Slwhurst's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello all so.my original surgery date was September 15, 2022, was on the made.it through my 2 week pre op diet. Even made it to the surgery table , cut open only to find out i have a rare anatomy called Situs Inversus which means all of my organ are on the opposite side. The surgery had never seen anything like it before and i didn't even know i am like this, and you dont until you have a surgery. So my bybass didn't happen because the surgeon didn't have experience with my unique ๐ anatomy a nd wasn't comfortable performing the procedure. But on a good note was recommended to another facility with hopefully surgeons that have the experience to perform the surgery so im starting all over agian. Im a little discouraged, but at the same time keeping a positive attitude ๐ ๐ -
